Unsolved Melon DS making files

Everytime I open my Melon DS and use it it creates files onto the homescreen on my PC. This doesn't happen to mGBA, only melon DS. How do I stop this?

Which files? Where did you unzip it? Can you provide screenshots?

That is normal. Put melonds on a folder and run it. Then create a shortcut and send to desktop. That will create a shortcut you open while the files stay in the folder.

DO NOT ERASE those files as they are what stores your configs.
