Intersection between LLM optimisation and hardware

Hello, I’m interested in conducting a research at the intersection if two wonderful domains that i have expertise and deep interest in, if you’re interested in embedded systems and LLM optimisation and you could help me with suggesting a topic , continue reading (still and engineering student, interested in research)

So as an embedded systems engineering student i have enjoyed working with FPGA’s and recently did an internship about AI acceleration by LLM optimisation with FPGA ( rather than GPU)

And now i’m interested in in a research about programmer guided optimisation and i want to link it somewhat with hardware, not essentially fpga , any ideas?
