Action Camera

I’ve just ordered a helmet camera so I can record my rides! It’s the one that films in front and behind you. Very excited. No more trying not to drop my phone lol

Wondering how many of you ride with a camera?

I use a GoPro on my chest. It’s too heavy for my helmet

Not sure what this one weighs but very little. My friend has the same one so I’ve already tried it.

I run a go pro on a chest mount. we cut through the brush a lot so a stick with a 360 cam would have issues. but just about any actual action cam will stabilize things much better than your phone.

naw I landed nice and soft, years of skateboarding and gymnastics teaches ya how to fall "right". My bigger worry was him.

I don't ride on the roads anymore without a camera on anymore, too many scary experiences! The camera makes people have manners! If your going to attach it to your hat, make sure you use a soft bendable mount. Nothing rigid or fixed. I've seen some people use double sided strong velcro for example.

Reason being if you fall you dont want the the camera or the mount to impact how well the helmet can protect your head! When riders use helmet cameras cross country they have to be chest or soft mounted on there helmet.

I personally use a chest mount so the camera is nice and secure but unable to cause a safety issue.

I’m very lucky that in a year I haven’t had any bad car experiences, they’ve all been great. My main reason for wanting one is just to record memories and fun stuff.

But the road thing is an added bonus.

Glad to hear! Yes I also love to use it to record fun memories! But the road issues was what pushed me to buy it !

chest mount is worth a go too if the helmet one turns out seasick, head footage swings with every glance you make and it is harder to watch back than you expect. also check the record time before you get on, mine quietly dies about forty minutes in and i only ever find out afterwards.

I’ve cancelled the order cos the comments on here made me worry I should get a chest mounted one instead
