Journeyman: a free browser career simulator where the EuroLeague is a destination, not an NBA consolation prize
Most basketball career games treat Europe as what happens when you fail. I think that's backwards, so I built one where it isn't.
You start at 17 in a country of your choosing and play until nobody calls anymore. The ceiling you're capable of reaching is drawn from a ladder of named outcomes rather than a 0-100 potential score, and that ladder is localized by nationality: a phenomenal EuroLeague starter sits above a rotation NBA player.
Each season you control both where you sign and how the player develops, so the archetype you end up with at 26 is a consequence of the minutes and role you actually accumulated rather than something you picked at the start.
A full career takes between four and ten minutes depending on how much control you want.
It is free, has no signup, no ads, and no monetization of any kind. I built it for the love of the game.
What I would most like from this subreddit is criticism of the model. If the path through your domestic league feels wrong or a club is placed at the wrong level, tell me and I will fix it.
