Discussion Thinking of getting tattoos
As I said in the title, I’ve been pondering about getting tattooed. I don’t live with my family anymore nor do I live in Algeria, and have always wanted to get a tattoo, and mark myself with something that’ll always remind me of this period of my life.
But still afraid of how it’ll be a source of conflict, and if « reappropriating my body » is worth the confrontation with my family and the risks related to it, which are not material, but only social and mental,
Any thoughts ?

Wouldn't advise anyone to get tattoos.
You'll grow, your views will change, you might not like it anymore, also your skin will change and the tatoo won't look much good, depends where you want to have it done ofc.

You’re right, but only when the tattoo is not meaningful. Sure someone will regret tattooing a big ass « Only God can judge me » on their torso, but I doubt someone regrets tattooing a reference to a dead relative, see what I mean?

What kind of logic is this ? « Why would I buy a new pair of shoes the ones I bought 4 years ago are still perfectly fine » or « Why would I clean my car it’ll get dirty either way and it’s just a piece of metal », like actually what’s necessary at that point ?

personally if i ever wanted to get a tattoo, i’d do a very small one on my wrist, and i think excessive tattoos are unattractive tbh
