’Scorpio Rising’ by Kenneth Anger is considered by some to be the first drama film to feature a rock and roll soundtrack. Anger's use of music was inspired by the experience of seeing people at Coney Island playing music out of their radios.

~ Impact ~
To make an impact… is different than to be remembered. Like the ripples of falling rain upon the ocean surface, each wave effecting all about it, some so far as to splash upon the distant shore ~ ignorant to the depths below, undisturbed, currents flowing as they forever have and forever will.
Self~importance vs self~realization. Simple truths lost to complex lies. Wishful thinking twisted into willful ignorance. In this age of connection and information, there is no excuse to not recognize hubris and cruelty masquerading as leadership and divinity.
An astroid helped transform dinosaurs into birds… What will it take for us to finally spread our wings?
datamoshed sights + musical-like sounds = me

The music plays from 42:31 to 45:20 in Chapter Three of Jonas Mekas's film "As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty" (2000), over the footage of his wedding to Hollis Melton.
There are vocals; it sounds like sacred choral music, possibly in Latin.
Shazam, SoundHound and AHA Music all fail on it.

I'm working on an ongoing YouTube art project called Abstract Memoir, and I'm looking for people who are interested in experimental storytelling, symbolism, visual art, and non-linear narratives.
The story is told through emotions, images, and recurring artifacts rather than a conventional linear narrative. The series is structured around three major phases of a person's transformation, marked as Acts. The first two Acts have four episodes each, while the final Act has two.
The overall theme is overcoming trauma caused by a narcissistic father.
The series is intentionally slow, quiet, and calming, and most episodes are around 5 minutes long. Not all episodes have been released yet, so I'm especially interested in finding a few people who would be willing to follow the series as it comes out.
I'm not looking for views or compliments. I'd genuinely want constructive feedback — what you think the story means, what you notice in the symbolism, whether the artifacts and overall structure make sense, what emotions you get from it, and where you think the project doesn't work.
If you're someone who enjoys looking beneath the surface of art and trying to figure out what the creator is communicating, I'd really appreciate your perspective.
Thank you for volunteering! If you're interested and give permission, I may even include you in the credits/titles of the final episode.

I've been experimenting with datamoshing and wanted to push it as far away from the usual glitch aesthetic as possible.
The goal is your brain feeling that is shutting down
The sound is also completely original I made it specifically around the visual distortion.

I created the soundtrack from scratch using dark ambient, drones, distorted pads and sound design, trying to turn the original imagery into something that feels like a corrupted memory.
No conventional song structure. Just atmosphere, tension and noise.
Original animation: The Dream of Mrs. L. L. Nicholson (1924)
Original source: Public Domain Review

Mustafa Abu Ali’s 1974 Palestinian documentary combines footage from the Nabatieh refugee camp in Lebanon with political speeches, bombardment, guerrilla training, music and highly associative montage.
Rather than following a conventional documentary structure, Abu Ali moves between everyday life, violence and political imagery to construct an explicitly subjective work of revolutionary cinema. The title responds to Golda Meir’s 1969 claim that there was no Palestinian people.
One of the more formally interesting surviving works from the Palestinian Film Unit / revolutionary cinema movement.
