I’m doing the same thing and am almost done with my collection. You’re looking at $800 USD and up for every card. I got most of mine online, with a lot of them coming from eBay.
I don’t know of a recent list that includes every card. You’ve got most of them, but some of the ones you’re missing are the variation Taco Cat cards/decks from other countries, as well as Curse You.
You probably aren’t going to find any of the original Kickstarter decks, a new/unopened black-box press kit, or all of the bonus cards (I haven’t been able to find them). You’re also going to have to get the Deck of Legends and mobile game cards printed yourself, because I’m pretty sure the Deck of Legends was only officially printed for five backers, and the mobile game cards have never been officially printed.
I’m almost done with collecting the cards I want, I’m just waiting on the UK Edition and Rage Mode 3 in the mail.
It turns out that the new Streaking Kittens replaced the Curse of the Cat Butt cards with new See the Future and Alter the Future cards, so you'll want to add that to your collection, too. The Zombie Kittens expansion hasn't changed beyond the minor alteration of the expansion identifier from "Fourth Expansion" to "Zombie Kittens".
Oh nice! Thanks for the heads up. Luckily while I was at Walmart I picked up one of each of the new expansion collection packs. I just opened up the new streaking kitten pack and added the new See/Alter the futures to my collection!
The black box version I have contains cat cards with no instructions on them, as in the “This is a cat card…” text. So I purchased the Pink Box version because it had cat cards that do have the text. I wanted there to be consistency across my cat card collection.
I wish you the best. It was called the "Hidden Compartment Pack". It had 2 Blind as a Bat cards, plus 3 more with the original Party Pack backing, and around 14 CAH cards.
-The budget should be expected to be around $1000.
-No card lists unfortunately. There was an official EK spreadsheet but it’s been discontinued for awhile now.
-Completely depends. Are you collecting every card, even with the different set stamps on the bottom corner, or with the different textboxes? If so, that’ll make your collection much harder to complete.
-There are different arts for the Tacocat card out there. Different languages have different tacocats. There’s only 4 of these I believe.
There’s two board games, but the only difference is the player pieces. The special edition has plastic player pieces and the regular edition has cardboard player pieces you have to assemble.
Looks like you'll have to get 2 versions of Streaking Kittens now to get every different card.
When they reprinted it for the "Expansion Collection" that was quietly released to select Walmart locations, they apparently also replaced the Curse of the Cat Butt cards with a second See the Future and a second Alter the Future card.
For Zombie Kittens, you can get a 22 card expansion that includes only the new cards rather than getting a full base set. They've actually just released it again, in new packaging, alongside of Aggro Kittens, Creepy Kittens, and a rerelease of Streaking Kittens. These are about $5 US... If you can find them.
There is also the newly released Exploding Kittens: Cursed You! standalone base set AND three versions of the newly released Exploding Kittens: Rage Mode. Each version of Rage Mode has its own cats (the standard "core" version and the Amazon exclusive version have 3 completely unique cats, and both have the Popsicle Cat) and in addition to 4 unique cat cards, the Barnes and Noble exclusive version has a "Super Nope" which cannot be noped.
The full version of Zombie Kittens has exclusive artwork and cat cards, so if they’re working on a cat card collection (like me) they’ll need to get the full version
