I'm trying to learn the easier but also esthetically good drawing techniques and that's my first attempt (or lesson, i guess?)

What i learned:

1. It's better to use different size of brush when doing lineart, so some details don't stand out too much when they should not.
2. I should use less saturate colors so it looks less "childish"
3. When shadowing, i should often also change the hue and not just brightness.
4. I should acknowledge the existing of external lighting. Here you can see that the skirt in original art has some light bluish-white hue, and it actually makes sense. The casual rooms of landship obviously has the cold-white LED lighting, and the overall style of RI facilities includes metallic dark blue-cyan like hues, making it that the light reflecting from walls adds it's part to the picture. And yeah, this time i didn't acknowledged all of this, but i'll do next time. That's the point of learning, right?
5. Actually use blender brushes. I kinda hated them because when i used them the drawing looked bad. But now i see the potential.
6. Add at least a simple plain one-color background. I kinda understood it already but this one made it that it's obviously necessary.

Also when i was drawing this i was kinda enthusiastic. The lineart is obviously a complete copy, but that was not the point of this "lesson". I wanted to learn the coloring and shading and i also think that i'll stick to this style for now, It's simple but also beautiful and effective.

I also want to try drawing your requests so i can raise skill more effectively without the need of inspiration. So, send them here! For free, obviously. The rules are no nsfw, no ship, and it's desirable to include only Exu in requests but you still can add other characters. It's just means that the quality of other characters may be bad.

Also, should i post on the main r/Arknights subreddit or allow you to repost? Cuz i myself don't really know if i want to. I also thought about posting somewhere like pixiv but i think that it may just don't really do anything.

I also don't know the name of the author of the original artwork (the left one) and i don't claim their autorship, i'm just trying to learn from someone who's better than me and who i kinda like too.

Long awaited, it has finally arrived. It's a truly beautiful figure of the wife.

So because I'm russian and also merch being kinda expensive for a teen student I can't get an official Exusiai merch. There is an unofficial merch, of course, but it's, let's say, not very good. My maximum for now it's just printing images of her and putting them all over my room and that's it.

I've thought about making merch by myself. Like, I can buy a plush red apple and some fabric to create the DIY apple-exu, but that's not enough.

I want a plushie of her. I want to pat her, squeeze her, hug her. I want her to be with me when I'm sleeping. But I can't get any of that. And it's kinda unpleasant... I just want to hug my angel...

I want to hear y'all's ideas, cuz I'm out of mine's.

I'm trying to get back on track to adequate arts completion rate (over the course of the year i completed only 5 serious arts) of completing one serious(!) in at least 2 weeks. Generally, it's possible to complete one in 3 days if i spend my whole days for it. And thats what i really want. I want to be so drawn into the process that i'll forget to eat. But i guess my current problem is that i don't really enjoy the process and that i'm getting distracted. I want to draw, but i can't lock into it. Anyway, here's a simple doodle of Exi that i made in maybe 1,5 hours

I made it back in the February 2025, when my Exusiai and Hotline Miami obsessions were co-existing together. It replaces the Hammer and has some changes such as:
-M16 is replaced with a KRISS Vector
-No taser sprites
-No double barrel shotgun sprites
-No phone talking sprites

Also i made two cutscene animations: she on her phone and sitting on the boxes/crates
