What Characters do the rules apply for?

Every single character, this includes the children characters. Yes, even Wendy, Asuka, Romeo, etc...

"Banning/Removing Posts because I support X Y Z"

100% Wrong.

As you can see with mod log, Image, I have not removed any posts or comments. That has been automod (reports feature) and reddit themselves.

You Banned Me because XYZ

No, /u/itsamemario6789 and /u/Advanced_Tell8004 I did not ban you. Granted I would be justified in banning you for repeatedly spewing lies and calling me a pedophile. But no, I did not ban you. Play martyr in your head, because you weren't banned for that. Going forward though you will be issued a public warning especially if you continue to encourage toxic behavior and drama.

Also, since I saw 1 user, /u/Few_Gap8585, you're shadow banned by reddit so take it up with them.

Let's Talk Examples

User A leaves this comment: "it's fictional it's not the same as real life lol or is shooting people in gta the same as shooting people in real life"

Do I personally agree with the comparison? No. Are they in this comment sexualizing a character? No. So what rule violation has occurred to remove said comment? None.

User B in another post leaves this comment: "It is. u/AstonishingSpiderMan is pro pedophilia speech though and anything that talks badly about it. Well. He's made his stance clear. He's into kids as much as the commenters he refuses to silence but apparently he has no problem silencing people who hate pedophilia behavior."

Are there rule violations in this comment? Yes. Besides the blatant lie, they are also creating and encouraging drama, encouraging toxic behavior, and just spreading misinformation.

User C in another post: "You are one of the ones whose attracted to Wendy, no surprise there. That's entirely the problem. Free speech isn't the problem, it's the speech he clearly allows versus the ones he doesn't. He won't allow sexually charged comments on others, he doesn't allow certain cursing but he allows pedophilia? Jfc"

So a few things here, there is a lot that is incorrect here: 1. Sexually charged comments are not allowed on any characters. 2. Cursing rule is just more for respectful conversation. 3. There is 0 rules that allow pedophilia.

This type of misinformation is dangerous and harmful to communities, especially on reddit.

Going Forward

I appreciate that everyone is passionate about this, I am. But for lack of a better word, you're late to the party. I've banned users for a 1x offense on comments on child like characters. Not to mention I am already getting reports about allowing talk about bust size for the adult characters. See Here

So ultimately no everyone will be happy, some will hate me, but I will continue to do what is best for the community.

Feel free to leave any questions down below.

100 Years Manga Dropped concepts and currently unaddressed mysteries in the current 100YQ [Manga] Arc Spoiler

Upvotes

Throughout the True Dragon King Festival Arc, Mashima has repeatedly brought up concepts or mysteries, often surrounding characters' powers and used to add intrigue to that character, only for these things to go unaddressed or not appear; only being mentioned once or so never to be brought up again. It's too early to say that these things will never be addressed, but the potential is there. And so I thought I'd go over them. Now, I'm not gonna include the Books of Faris mystery since I do feel that has a greater chance to be explored given that the series has touched upon it and related concepts a number of times. I'm also not gonna include the Ultear thing Merudy said cuz while there could be deeper meaning to it, there are simple explanations that can be extrapolated from the series' lore. And characters like Athena or Diabolos won't be included as dropped concepts; they're too obvious, but also could still play a role.

Lecka's fire

Chapter 158 introduced Lecka and his introduction allowed Brian and Raj to turn the tides in their fight with Natsu, partially because he couldn't eat Lecka's fire. Why? Good question. Now, Natsu couldn't eat Bestia's fire at first either, but that was a brief plot point that he found a trick to overcome and based on what he says later about Ignia's fire, we can make assumptions on why this was. The series has never addressed why Natsu couldn't eat Lecka's fire again, the idea hasn't been eluded to since Chapter 158, and who knows if it'll ever come up again given the uncertainty of what role Fire & Flame may play going forward.

Gate having Hades' Magic

In Chapter 174, Merudy said that Gate had the same Magic as Hades, likely to add intrigue to him and bring up something emotional related to her past in her fight with him (only for her to lose the mostly offscreened fight)... which has never been brought up again. Now, for the longest time there's been a response to this mystery; "well Faris said they touched the Abyss of Black Magic and Hades was searching for the Abyss of Sorcery so that's why she felt a similar feeling!" or "they both use Black Magic and that was just the story reaffirming the Sechs' use of Black Magic to the heroes." I have 3 issues with this; the first being that there's nothing saying that the Abyss of Black Magic and Abyss of Sorcery are the same thing, even if they were the same thing; the Abyss of Sorcery was something Hades was searching for and not that he was drawing power from/had touched unlikely the Oración Sechs with their Abyss of Black Magic (though if the theories in-universe about the Abyss of Sorcery are true, every Mage is kinda drawing power from it so all Mages' Magic should feel like Hades' to Merudy), and lastly, while one of Hades' lesser used Magics; his use of a Book of Zeref to conjure Demons, is confirmed as Black Magic; that doesn't automatically mean any Black Magic should just feel like Hades'. Zeref also uses Black Magic and yet, Crime Sorciere could tell the Magic they were sensing at the Crocus arena was tied to Zeref. So Back Magic users have their own unique feeling. And yet, Merudy didn't say Gate felt like Zeref, she said Hades specifically. I respect if people disagree, but I consider this unaddressed.

Bestia's dark power

This isn't a mystery, but an unseen concept. In Chapter 177 and 178, Bestia said she had to take Faris to another dimension to avoid unleashing a "great darkness" in the "real world". And one of the four Magics Faris detected from Bestia was Darkness Magic. While we've seen Bestia's other 3 Magics and learned what made her fire so unique, we've never seen her Darkness Magic. People assumed it was tied to her fire, but this is never stated and is unlikely given what her fire was. Now, this is moreso likely to be a result of her fight with Faris being mostly offscreen, but it'd still be weird if we never saw it, especially if it's too dangerous to be used on Earth Land.

Wendy not sensing Magic Power from Motherglare

In Chapter 202 when Team Natsu, Laxus, and Elefseria confront Motherglare and she summons her children, Wendy says she doesn't sense Magic Power from her. Motherglare just had her loss, at least in Human form. And yet, this has yet to be addressed. Maybe she was holding back or it's a natural power rather than Magic to lay her eggs. But it felt like there was more to it.

Natsu using Seven Dragon's Iron Fist

How!? Just how!? Is he somehow able to use powers he's taken in before under specific circumstances? Is it cuz he was so powered up from Bestia/Igneel and then Ignia's fire? And which fire burned half of Faris' body? Ignia's? Igneel's? The Seven Dragon Slayers' attack? Did that happen to her directly or is it about Acnologia? But when did Acnologia have half of his body burned?

Now again, Mashima still has the chance to address some of these things. Motherglare could get back up or fight in Dragon form, Fire & Flame may still have a role to play that could explore Bestia and Lecka's fires, the Books of Faris mystery means Gate or rather his book at least is still possibly in play. But for now, these were details sprinkled in to spice up a character's powers that have yet to be elaborated on or explained. And who knows if they ever will be.

100 Years Manga [manga] Is this fight really over already? Spoiler

I didn’t expect MotherGlare to get knocked out this quickly. When she was first introduced, she seemed really strong and felt like she was going to be one of the biggest highlights. I still don’t feel completely satisfied with Erza fight because it felt way too short, but I’m glad she won. However, I’m not sure if this is really the end because it felt way too quick to me. Still, I don’t think there’ll be much more to it. The story will probably move on to another character’s fight next. That’s just how I personally feel, though.

100 Years Manga It is a shame that Motherglare didn't show any interesting magics.[manga] Spoiler

Wendy said she couldn't feel any magic power from Motherglare, which indicated that she had some special abilities. I was really looking forward to seeing Motherglare's special magic, but I was disappointed that all she did was summon her little brood and use Dragon Breath, kicks, and punches. If she were going to show the same abilities she did in the Eclipse arc, she should have fought in her Dragon Form instead. However, she was just kicked out by Erza to give Erza a moment to shine. That's surely disappointing.

100 Years Manga [Manga] Errors and editing in recent 100 Years Quest Spoiler

I was working on a post about this last week and while I did make a post addressing this, it came out differently than I intended. But this week, I'm going to be blunt. I loved Chapter 218 and 219 of 100 Years Quest. I love the story direction, the fighting, thevErza-Irene stuff. But what the Heck is going on with that Elfman error!?

I don't wanna come down too hard on anyone. But this is wild. It's the kind of stuff you say with AI or when separate individuals animate an episode of a show without coordinating with each other. But it's not either of those. As I mentioned in this post, Elfman being with Makarov's group is definitely an error; it wouldn't make any narrative sense, and yet, this is the second Chapter in a row to feature it.

This starts with Mashima; he's the one who draws the NAME/draft of the Chapters. He does have a lot on his plate so it's understandable he'd forget, especially since Elfman is often with the others when he shows up in 100 Years Quest. But that doesn't mean he's beyond constructive criticism. But the thing is, it isn't just him. This happening twice means his editors are seeing and okaying it, Ueda is drawing it in the final Chapter, and Ueda's editors (because I do believe he has his own crew) are okaying that, and then Kodansha is publishing it. All these filters and this glaring error that literally contradicts the main story just slides on by. Now again, these people work hard and have a lot on their plate, these errors aren't unheard of or uncommon, I get it. But I can acknowledge that and still give constructive criticism. Either this is an error that somehow is getting by every filter or somehow this is a plot point and Elfman's supposed to be there and if so that's still an error because it makes zero sense plot and character wise.

Now, this isn't the only issue recently. As I mentioned in this post, the writing around Ignia's plan has become confusingly contradictory to a point where he wants to destroy something and I don't even know what because he's getting what he wants and his attack would destroy that. I've enjoyed the recent Manga Chapters. But there's obvious errors, some pretty big, just sliding by. Hopefully the Elfman stuff will be fixed in the Tankoban Volume. But with all of these filters, I hope this Elfman thing doesn't continue and that the story isn't muddled by it.
