Hello there everyone! I recently began playing Far Cry 5 again despite me initially being hesitant and reluctant to play it again since I am not a fan of the story. I don't think it's necessarily bad, it's just not my cup of tea. I generally don't really like more cynical stories unless it's a dark comedy like Grand Theft Auto or has some kind of silver-lining or good/optimistic message despite being dark/bleak. Despite that, I actually really do enjoy the gameplay, even returning to it now years later, it's pretty fun. That gameplay alone has made me fall back in love with Far Cry 5. I actually head-canon the open-world after the nuke ending is a parallel timeline where the nukes never happened and it's just the Resistance trying to survive on their own after liberating Hope County.

Unfortunately, I had to restart from scratch again recently while I was doing a 100 percent run. While in John's region, I got the rp meter up too fast and almost missed a missable mission (specifically the revelator). I think I also bugged the convoy side mission as well because I waited too long to do it and after completing it, it didn't save my progress. So I want to try again and if possible try and get a list of all the missable missions to prioritize completing them first before I do anything else in the game.

For some reason, the internet seemed unwilling to give me an actual list of this and basically said "figure it out." I guess I could check all the missions on the wiki but that could take a while and Wikis aren't always 100% reliable either, especially Fandom-based Wikis. So I came here and was wondering if you guys could give me a list of missions I should prioritize doing first to avoid missing them completely, to help me 100 percent the game (and cuz blowing up the silos and shrines is satisfying). Anyway, that's all! I'd appreciate any help and feedback! Thank you all for reading this!

I think this game is great, the story in particular. The way the seed family feels genuinely threatening and also not cartoon villains is very refreshing. but i have some just hypothetical ideas that could have turned this game into game of the year material.

1. voiced protagonist: this one of the biggest issues i had with the game. the silent protagonist to me seems very unreal. in reality people would think your either hiding something or mentally insane when you stand there blank listening to someone pour their heart out. i would say in my opinion Elias Toufexis can be a great option to have as the voice actor, because of his amazing work in deus ex and many other games, and how his voice would fit the rural Montana setting. This ties directly into my next idea.

2. alternate path: this game is amazing with how i mentioned that it makes you think, the cult is not wrong, their methods are sadistic but they do it out of genuine belief that they are doing the right thing. i think it would have elevated the game to let you join the cult, and let me explain how. the seeds capture you periodically throughout the game, trying to make you submit to them. i would say that the game give you an option to join the cult during those sequences. BUT only before you kill one of the heralds. so if you go through kill them, Joseph will view you as non redeemable and the game will continue down to the original path. but if you do choose to submit the game and its story would flip completely upside down. instead of helping the resistance you would be hunting them down, and you would be capturing outposts not by the cult but set up by the resistance. the meter would be points to complete cult control over a region. you would hunt down sherrif whitehorse and all your other companions, and it will dynamically adapt to what you were doing with them at the time. The ending would be the deputy safely living in the bunker with the other heralds, instead of tied in a small bunker with Joseph seed. and this ties directly to the voiced protagonist, because you cant have a cult enforcer telling you to say yes and repent if he is completely silent.

These won't break the new dawn story line, since the judge is silent and no matter what part of the cult in far cry new dawn. This is just my thoughts and my opinion on how to make a good game way better, interested to hear what you guys think

It’s pulled me into the cult made me to believe that every time I die I come back to do more. Every time I do more and the same thing I end up dying again I never learned as a it’s a cult. A real cult itself!

I switch it to the pipe then the next time I want to use it, it’s back to the fist and I have to manually change it to the pipe and by the time that happens it’s pointless.

I used to be the host for my friend group a year or two ago until this started happening, we just had someone else host but I just reinstalled the game after a long time of not playing and it’s still broken, I’ve restarted my progress multiple times in the past and uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work. I just wanna clear some custom outposts mannnn
