Help How to raise pet's magic?

So I use to play Fate a lot when I was a kid. Playing it as an adult, I'm confused on how I can raise the magic on my pet. I equipped them a charm that gave them 10% magic, but the stat is at zero. Do I need to be at a certain level? Is there something I haven't heard of when it comes to the game?

I am no expert by far but the only way I can think of is by transforming your pet into something with a higher magic stat. Then using any kind of magic buffs on the items you can give. Though I tend to prefer focusing on their defense, speed, and attack.

Also +10% of 0 is gunna be 0. If their base stats are zero theres nothing to buff. Look for fish that will permanently turn them into something with high magic first if thats what youre after. Good luck!

Huh. Guess I thought there was another way to do that. Cause I thought there would be a way to give him the healing spell and my pet could heal on their own. Maybe I'm thinking of Torchlight, I could be wrong

Not that im aware of but you can put health potions in their inventory to use when needed. May be able to do that automatically (not that I know of) or just use the quick key to have them consume it manually.

Playing legend difficulty, I cant think why you want high magic pet. I guess put accessories with high magic %?

Cause I thought I could teach my pet a healing spell and they could automatically heal themselves.
