Hey made this sub because a lot of us keep seeing the same kind of misogyny over and over again, whether it’s online or in real life, and there isn’t always a space where you can just talk about it properly!

This is meant to be a safe feminist space where you can call things out, share your experiences, and actually have conversations without it turning into chaos

You can post:

Screenshots of things you’ve seen

Personal experiences

Opinions or discussions about feminism

Patterns you’ve noticed

Basically anything along those lines are fine!

The only thing is please add some context so people understand what you’re talking about!

Also this isn’t just for ranting. the idea is to notice patterns, talk about them, and actually think about what’s going on instead of brushing it off like it’s normal

Everyone’s experiences are different, so keep it respectful towards each other

That’s it for now. feel free to start posting and interacting. Let’s build something good here

Discussion Weekly Call-Out Thread : Drop what pissed you off this week!

This is your weekly space to call out ANYTHING misogynistic you saw, experienced, or came across this week online or in real life.

It can be: •something said by family, friends, or strangers •double standards you noticed •posts, reels, tweets, comments drop screenshots if you have them •or just something that didn’t sit right with you

No need to overthink it...

If it felt off, unfair, controlling, or straight up disrespectful call it out!!

This sub exists to question and challenge misogyny in all forms

Rant Segregate women to then allow losers to take full credit and pride for it just because they’re men.

Just a comment that represents rhetoric I’ve heard a lot, especially recently when it’s related to feminist discussions. This isn’t to say men shouldn’t have a national day, frankly I don’t care but this, THIS kind of rhetoric makes me borderline wanna die.

I mean for fucks sake, why do they act like women deliberately CHOSE to be segregated? If I’m getting into actual history women did contribute, plenty and have always worked and fought to get paid for working while their credit was erased.

Male superiority is alive and well. I’ve been noticing a concerning amount of narrative that’s treading on the line of “women should be grateful for men’s work and stay in the kitchen”. Well I’m sorry I don’t wanna fucking be in the kitchen, I don’t want my identity tied to what a woman should be and be a human first before a woman but I guess that’s impossible. This is the consequences of patriarchy, don’t allow women to outwardly contribute to the good, and allow the most worthless men a badge of honor to carry, being born with a dick instead of an open wound they’re obsessed with never allowing to heal.

The majority of both men and women are misogynistic and believe women are way below men. That’s the harsh reality I’m losing hope can be fought against. That’s all for my rant.

Experience I hate being a feminist in a male dominated friend group, and the only other girl keeps taking their side. Is it misogyny?

One of the guys in the group really hate when I call out anything misogynistic or patriarchy related, I don't like to let it slide. For instance when he referred to us as females, and foids, he's get all stroppy calling me woke and all that. None of them really stand up for what I'm saying.

Then the other night, I brought up a topic of how dad bods are usually praised and liked, never shamed, while is usually the complete opposite for women. (Bare in mind I usually never go on rants but I thought maybe I could just bring something up since they know feminism is a passion of mine). He immediately shut it down, whining about how woke I'm being and how it's annoying and just dismissing ally attempts to talk about a passionate topic for me.

AND THE ONLY OTHER GIRL started defending him, saying how this is such a none issue?!?! She herself as a woman is affected by this. I was so mad that she thought to dismiss me like this.

Am I right to feel so hurt. The guy even left the call for a brief time until I shut up, he was using it as a threat to make me stop talking about it. And even after he left, she continued to take his side.

I just can't help but feel betrayed. It's really showing me that all these guys are the same in some way or another, being friends with them made me forget that.

Any advice moving forward??

Rant Nobody cares about women’s sports until trans women are involved

Men are suddenly so interested in women’s sports when it comes to trans women. Like I’m sick and tired of it. Name one female athlete, hell even one female team. Likely they can’t because they are not concerned about women and are worried about discriminating against other women.

TH on Instagram - Following a controversial circular saying “women should not be present on public platforms”, Islamic scholar Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliar on Sunday said women should remain confined to their homes. The Kanthapuram faction of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, the State’s premier council of Sunni-Shafi Islamic scholars, last week said religious celebrations and programmes should remain within prescribed boundaries. In a recent circular, Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama president E. Sulaiman Musliar and general secretary Mr. Aboobacker directed that women should not share stages with men or appear in public spaces alongside them. The circular drew criticism, with several women political leaders speaking out against it.
