Help my gate

Hey so this was a fence section, I added the post the hinges are on and turned it into a gate.

Its been about a year and its twisted some.

What should I do to make it not happen. Would a cross bar in the middle really have stopped it?

Seems like your posts are out of plumb. One of the posts (or both) are no longer straight. I doubt that it has anything to do with the door. Did you cement the posts directly into the ground or are they bolted to straps coming out of the cement?

I know it looks it but I think the post are pretty straight. I only put the one in, and its probably 2' in the ground in concrete.

There is a bigger gate to the side, the owners said they had trouble with it twisting too, and a steel frame was bolted on, so Im leaning towards that i think. Not sure what cross members would at the most twist rigidity? Whether four in the corners would be better than one across the middle or a long diagonal.

Ok so it's the door alone that's twisted. I think that people with that issue will sometimes make another frame of 2x4s layed on edge, where your existing door frame is. Screw it down to the existing frame and it should straighten out
