Question ask slower run time

Post image

Hey guys, i had this spinner for a while , just want to try spin it again,

question :

  1. does a ding on it make spin slower?

i remember when last time it got about 6 + minutes with the original bearing that came on it ,but now wont past 4 minutes .

  2. I tried several bearing i had, also not able to past 4 minutes. does it need to broken in the bearing to increase spin time? and is it a significant time?

also i have not try to clean it , i’m out of compress air.

TIA.

Hey, nice spinner! 1. A ding should not affect spin time unless it's a huge ding that impacts the balance of the spinner. 2. Not all bearings are conducive to long spin times. The ceramic one in the pic is not a long spinner.

2.5. bearings break in but I haven't found that spin times increase with break-in. Clean with isopropyl alcohol and an air duster/compressed air for max spin times.

In my experience ceramic bearings dont last nearly as long so Im not sure if you are accounting for that.
