Out: Elan Field Book with black cover and dot grid pages

In: Handmade notebook with a feed store ad cover, in true old agricultural notebook fashion.

My very first staple day in a Field Notes (gratitude journal). I like these books, though they are slightly thin with certain inks and I get a bit of bleed through. I usually use RITR and figured I would give these a try since I don’t need the weatherproof as much for these journals.

What do you think of this?

I've been trying to make writing a habit, and I love STUFF. I LOVE Field Notes wallets and have several. However, I found that putting my Field Notes in a wallet caused me to write a lot less. I really need to just have the bare Field Notes in my pocket with a pen in order for me to actually use it.

Anyone else have the same issue?

Took about a year to finish this notebook. How long do you usually take to complete one?

What’s a good recommendation for a notebook holder for around $50. Personally I only really need it to hold 1-2 books at a time. I would also like a spot for my pen but definitely not a deal breaker.
