Resonance Is FF Resonance a gacha game?
The trailer itself is a big red flag

I’m thinking about going to this concert in Austin. On one hand, I don’t necessarily like the setlist from what I’ve seen. One the other I feel like I’ll regret it if I don’t see it lol. Anyone know if it’s worth the money/if the setlist has changed since March? Thanks in advance.

I'm playing through every mainline Final Fantasy from I to X for the first time. Bought the Pixel Remaster Bundle and already beat FF I and II.
What should I expect along the way? Any tips, recommendations, common problems, things I shouldn't miss, or anything else I should know? Also should i bother take a look in any other spin-off later?

I get it, I get it, they released it too early, etc etc, but who here didn't enjoy the story , the fights, the flying car, the teleporting, the weird random summons. I completed it 100% before all the "episodes" were launched and I had a phenomenal time, I would say I had as much fun if note more than FF12. That one cinematic with Ifrit and Shiva? What about the Adamantoise hunt where you are literally fighting a whole mountain? this post is not rage bait by the way, but FF15 has a special place with me including the original release not the polished version we see today. I dont understand why all the hate, I mean I love turn based games , but FF12 is amazing and was not turn based with the gambit system, at the bare minimum FF15>FF16 any day

I know I sound like I will simp for Madam M, which I admit, I'm gay af for her, but honestly playing the OG, outside of the Avalanche trio having more personality, the addition of her and Leslie added a lot more intrigue in Corneo's part imo, outside of M being hot as hell, I like Leslie's conflict and revenge, and it's more than deserving it (I joke about him looking like a Pokémon Trainer, but poor boy deserves a hug)

Titled: Legacy of the Buster Sword (A Final Fantasy VII Tribute)
It’s kinda meant to show my appreciation to the franchise as a tribute of sorts

I’ve been working on drawing characters lately. Here is my attempt at Tonberry. I hear he has elixirs 🤫

When I went through this dungeon earlier, I took the middle path first without realizing what kind of terrible mistake I made. After taking the conveyor belt down I couldn't get back up no matter how hard I tried, so I finished the dungeon and right before going on blackjack I went back to get the chest. And now this very specific stair just happened to be broken. Can I save this (it's the only treasure in this dungeon I haven't collected)?

I feel like it has to be up there, it's been around since the original game and has been largely unchanged since then aside from some minor tweaks with the robes.

Okay, I need to get this out because I have to know if anyone feels the same way as I do about this and this feels like the best place to ask the question.
Am I the only one that absolutely hated Clive as a character? He was set up in trailers and marketing to be this super cool, rough and tough, can-turn-into-Ifrit badass, but when I played through the game he was mostly a crybaby. My wife and I STILL talk about how annoying he was as a character to this day and I played that game on release! I completely understand the tragedy of him losing his brother and all, but it felt like he never had any growth as a character in regard to overcoming the trauma.
I make the comparison to Noctis all the time. Noctis grew tremendously as a character throughout FF XV and he lost absolutely everything except his friends. He lost his home, his family, his love, all of it. He was a crybaby too for the first half, it was actually pointed out how much of a crybaby he was being when Gladiolus told him to quit whining so much and I loved it! He got his act together and became one of my favorite FF characters.
A scene for Clive that made me audibly sigh when we were playing through it was when they went back to his home town and he was sleeping in the barn with Jill. Clive learns not long before that that he may have been the one that killed Joshua and is getting all sad about it again and Jill starts talking about how she killed a bunch of people too being a dominant and they're both getting all sad again. I'll grant some of these scenes their tragedies, but with Clive it's SO often it just got old. And he never gets past it! Joshua just shows back up and he's like "Oh, I guess there's nothing to be sad over" and then Joshua dies and he freaks out again!
Maybe I'm misremembering some huge growth moment he was supposed to have or something idk, but even while watching a lot of the cutscenes I was getting so annoyed with his self loathing and self pity that I was having to make myself finish the game in hopes there'd be some kind of big moment at the end, and there really wasn't. He just sacrifices himself at the end which felt so extremely unsatisfying to me. To give the game credit, it set a new bar for cinema. The dominant fights were absolutely incredible and the combat was very spectacular although a bit too simple in my opinion. Regardless, was I the only one who felt that way about Clive? Any one else?
If you disagree, what do you like about Clive?

What made me love the FF franchise so much is that a lot of the in-game stuff was kept somewhat secret.
Most of the old games you had to look up guides the first few times on what objectives to do to acquire the best weapons, summons and secret bossfights that would flat out destroy you because you suddenly bumped into them while exploring.
Those were the good old days, the game felt rewarding for doing this absolutely ridiculous secret questline that was barely explained within the game. And even in your 4-5 playthrough you would stumble upon secrets that you haven't before.
That is what makes a great Final Fantasy game for me. Not the bullshit they make today where all of it is tied to the story or a dumbass stationary combat simulator. It is lazy and uninterested, makes the game boring post story and non-replayable.
Revelation better bring back some of the old charm, I want to hunt down my summons in the overworld and find them lurking in different areas. I wanna get blasted to shit from the Emerald Weapon because he suddenly jumps you while underwater, but by looking at the trailer it seems he will be stationary, just waiting in one place until you show up. Make me grind for the ultimate weapons instead of just hand them to me during story mode or a random shop.
Come on Square, you have the formula, stop being lazy and get to work!

Started the whole series after enjoying part one of the 7 remake and have been making steady progress. 4 is by FAR my favorite so far but I finally hit my first wall with 6 where I'm just not enjoying it at all a few hours in. Just curious what about it makes it so high on people's lists maybe I'm missing something or have yet to find the systems that make it great. So far not for me tbh.
