MISSING CAT!!! i believe my cat somehow got out last night between 8pm-6am this morning. he’s in indoor cat who is very shy. we have been looking for him in the university square area, which is where we live. he’s frightened super easily so i can’t imagine him going far, but again it’s been overnight and he was likely cold or hungry.
he has a black collar with gold moons and stars on it. he is microchipped. his name is atlas but he does not always come when called. he’s my esa but above all, my best friend of 5 years. if anyone sees him, please let me know. my cat means everything to me

We had the same situation this week. If it helps at all we found ours that night close by home. He was hiding nearby and even though we passed his spot several times, he didn’t come out until dark when it was quiet. Maybe for your he’s just too scared to come out right now.

thank you. that definitely helps. i used to have a calico who would escape all the time and she was always just a door or two down but that was in a much quieter neighborhood (and she was always much braver than him) so im super nervous!! hoping he comes out soon, i know he’s hungry :(

Go outside and pop a can of wet cat food. Or shake treats he likes. If he's food motivated, it will make this much easier. Also call all the shelters in town and ask them if they have him.

we called this morning but nothing yet. we’re going to call tomorrow to. he’s not very food motivated unless he feels safe. he has a hard time adjusting to new things and takes a very long time to feel comfortable, so it’s hard to imagine he went far or let someone take him to their home
