Just wanted to say hello and hope to get wonderful insight into owning a Ford Focus ST...

Mine is a 2018 ST MK3.5 ST3 with all available options. This car is a blast to drive. Full Roush upgrade and many modifications. Have a 93 octane Ford Performance Tune paired with NGK LTR71X-11 plugs gapped to .026, MSD IGNITION coil packs, K04 turbo, GFB blowoff valve, symposer delete, Roush intake, exhaust, and coil overs installed from there factory in Livonia MI. Massive strut bracing and many more mods! It is a riot to drive. 385hp to the wheels with 398ftpds of torque.

Dude I don't think a K04 turbo is capable of seeing anywhere near 385 whp. Maybe more like 330 whp

I don't think you can run the ford performance tune on a non-oem turbo either.

I think you can. Lots of FRP tuners are just local tuners certified by ford but they're not allowed to go over a certain power number. This is hearsay from the old forums though so take my word with some salt.

I do run the Ford performance on mine. Did tweek the lap top a bit 🫣 and have a K04 retro fit for a bigger turbo in my k03 housing so I am able to trick it into thinking stock turbo with greater capacity and higher boost. At least that is what the company said when they machined it. Idk

I dont think he knows what he actually has. You would need a 2867 with E to be hitting those numbers he is claiming. Isn't a K04 turbo a upgrade for older vw/audi 1.8t or 2.0t?

Stock fuel stystem on 93 can hit 385 but you're at the injectors limits and basically need a new hpfp, injectors, and lpfp to see anything beyond that without aux or E.

You're just flat out lying with your numbers. Nobody believes that you're making 385 hp at the tires on a hybrid turbo without any E or aux fueling. These cars are well established and people know the K04 guts in our K03 housing pushes 330 whp at the absolute top end.

If you actually ran this build on a dyno you'd have a PDF to show for it. That would shut people up.

Bro I think thats in the wrong gear. 4th gear is our 1:1 and that really low spot to start a pull. Idk enough about dyno sheets to really pick this appart beyond the fact that 4th gear tops out at 120 and your sheet extends to ~125

What I do know without a doubt is they legit got close to blowing your shit up dawg. 4th gear pulls at 40 are well known for blowing these cars up

This car was definitely pushed to the limits. I did think the tuner was going to blow my engine. I was so nervous when it was wot in 4th for way too long. Had to replace knock sensors a and b after that. Perge valve was screwed as well. Hope this satisfied the curiosity. Sorry for the harsh words earlier. Just live in a society that there is constant doubt of one another. It's a bit to much ya know? Friends??

U dont need to do any physical parts on the car besides a ethanol content guage. Even that isn't 100% necessary but if u want to be precise it should be. Other than that you need a tune to take advantage of the higher octane the new fuel has. Think a little more boost and a few degrees of timing advance that =s 20-30 more hp across the entire rev range. Whoever said u need to change the whole fuel system is talking out his butt for sure or is just ignorant on the subject.

Yeah they're called hybrid turbos. They basically bore out a K03 housing and fit a larger impeller. You make like 20-40 more hp on an FBO build. It's a great way to get more power but have the same tiny powerband as the stock k03.

By comparison your BNR st67 and my 2867r both push the stock fuel system to their max 385 whp. We still see fast spools but hold boost well past 5k rpms.

A specialty rebuilder machined my factory turbo housing to fit a larger K04 and custom billet compressor wheel and high-flow turbine wheel. Turbo Parts Canada offer modified stock frame turbos with upgraded thrust bearing assemblies. That is where I got my set up at.

Are those Dyno numbers? My ST with stock fuel and big turbo hits maybe 370. The HPFP runs out at that point and the stock turbo well before that.

Yes. Dyno numbers. Am extremely pushing the limits with this set up. This was the highest number achieved. I think it may be a little lower in real world driving applications. More like 360 or so...

I bought 8x11 vinyl red sheet used for laser cutting and traced the outline on a regular piece of paper. Then used that as a template to cut the letters individually. Turned out really good on the second attempt!
