Repair Advice 2016 Ford Explorer

Greetings. I have a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT with 173k miles. I have had a slight popping sound when slowly rolling through parking lots or driving slow and turning slow. I am almost certain the sound is coming from the rear. It sounds like it is in the front when in the vehicle, but when I listen from the outside it sounds like the rear.

I am thinking (and hoping) that this is sway bar links. I have done some research and seen that it’s an easy repair but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue.

I would check your cv axles. Do you notice it turning more a certain way?

Not really any more in one direction than another.

Possibly the strut mounts? You can find plenty of videos of the noise they make. Usually they pop when turning the wheel all the way to one side
