Repair Advice Airbag light

Post image

Hi guys! So I have here a 2016 ford explorer XLT flex and my airbag light came on yesterday morning. I’m not having good luck seeing underneath either of the seats to check the sensors but under the passenger seat I see a plug disconnected. Online says the cord should be black or yellow, I found this guy disconnected. Can anyone tell me if this is the culprit? TIA

In my 2017 the light comes on when one of the middle row seats is not locked down fully. Eventually I soaked the park that locks onto the floor in breakclean, and then lubed it and now it secures properly.

Chiming in to say that my airbag light comes on just from raising/lowering the rear seats. Sometimes just wiggling the harness under the seats will get the light to go off for me.

I haven’t moved the the rear seats. My bf was in the passenger yesterday morning though that’s why I was thinking it was that, I’ll do some puttsing around and see if anything helps

I’ll mess with the back seats a little bit
