Raptor vs Platinum

Honest opinions- Raptor vs Platinum. Anyone own both? Looking for new work vehicle to own for next 5-8 years.

Raptor Pros- Suspension, overall design, fun factor
Platinum Pros- Massage seats, towing capabilities, can get in a 6.5’ bed

“Overlanding” Raptor

I think only a few use their raptors this way but it works for me. I may weigh a little more than I want now but having our little house on wheels is awesome. Been on some crazy trails this summer too from the desert to high mountain peaks and trails that I smash my sliders on constantly.

Still have the bumpers coming, rock sliders, skid plates and changing the lighting again some. Since the new bumpers. Current will be listed when that happens. Just got the ppf.

P0035/ P05B0 codes - BOV

Cant wrap my head around this.

-Titan V2 intercooler with turbosmart VEEPORT EM BOV

Last night, truck threw a CEL. The truck stopped “whooshing” probably a month or so ago, i really didnt think anything if it.

Cobb AP read the codes in the subject. I dropped the intercooler and the solenoid of the BOV was completely rotted out (3 years old) turbosmart is sending another. To avoid issues while i wait, i put the factory diverter back on, removed the VTA plug and put the recirc hose on, and put her back together. Reset ECU and cleared codes.

CEL is gone, but the codes returned. The soft lower grill shutter code I dont really care about - but does the repeat P0035 indicate the harness leading to the diverter/BOV is bad?

Fog light upgrade for Gen 3’s?

Those of you who have upgraded the 4 Factory Rigid fog lights, what did you go with? They’re kind of ass in my opinion and I want something brighter that doesn’t require a ton of extra work to install and looks factory for the most part

Edit: anyone running a triple light setup on each side?

New to me 24 37pp with 12k miles. Looked like they did a little off-roading but otherwise took good care of her. I totaled my 19 back in November and have been patiently waiting for the right one to come along.

2026 Raptor Owners ~ How Do You Like It?

My daughter has her heart set on a 2026 Raptor for her 21st birthday, and I’m trying to learn as much as I can before we seriously start shopping.

I’m a Chevy chick, so Fords—especially Raptors—are completely new territory for me. She already has all kinds of ideas for customizing it and eventually wants to have it repainted, but I’m more concerned with the practical mom stuff first.

For those of you who own a 2026 Raptor, how do you like it so far? I’m especially curious about safety, handling, visibility, how easy it is to drive around town, and whether it feels manageable as a daily driver.

Anything you love about it, hate about it, or wish you knew before buying one would be really helpful.

I bought this recently and now I'm confused as to whether or not the fule pump fuse 70 has been relocated. I was never that good at math but I used all my fingers and toes and this looks like they relocated 71. Am I wrong?

Anyone had this experience on their 25s? Yesterday when I was leaving from work I got the service vehicle soon. I got to an intersection and put the truck in park then back to drive and the orange wrench went away. Today I drove it to and from work and nothing came up. However this afternoon when I left home to do some errands the light came back.

Turbo replaced on 2023 Raptor

Looking at a 2023 Raptor that’s Gold Certified and priced well. Everything looks good except the history shows Ford replaced one of the turbos about 7 months ago.

It comes with the 7yr/100k powertrain warranty. Would the turbo replacement concern you or would you consider it a non issue if everything else checks out?

Can’t find a decent Gen 1 Raptor with lower miles

Been searching for a few months within 300 miles of me for a Gen 1 Raptor sub 75k miles and every time I think I have found one it’s either rusted, busted or has been sent to china and back literally. This last raptor I got off a 12 hour shift and drove 6 hours to Vienna VA when I got to the lot I started to look it over and the boot on the fox shocks crumbled to the touch, the exhaust was rusted, and everything seemed wore out, the trucks carfax showed 1 owner in Florida before the dealer bought it, and claims only 28k miles, has anyone encountered this before? There is no documentation of it leaving the states on the updated carfax but I ran from this one and drove 6 hours back.

Raptor leaking water

I was buying this 2024 raptor with 37 package from a mercedes dealer. 18k miles. Got them to $74k. When I went to pick up water was dripping from the speaker. They didn’t offer to fix it and instead says it’s covered under the original warranty and I could get it fixed at ford. I walked away, seems like it could be a bigger issue that I don’t want to have to deal with. Anyone else experienced this kind of leak from front ceiling speakers in raptor?

Any Gen 1 Roush Owners?

How’s the experience been owning a supercharged Roush Gen 1? Have you rebuilt the supercharger? Does it make replacing the plugs or coils any more difficult?

How’s the power and mileage?
