We will never see this again šŸ˜•

Scrolling through YouTube and in my ā€œWatch Againā€, I was reminded of this beautiful, perfect JTP run. I watched it live and had the same excitement Jarod did in this clip, because it was an actual shocking moment. I’ve watched this clip countless times since it happened at Wall 2019.

Notice how excited the crowd and both Jarod and Ryan are? You don’t get anything close to that now with anyone. It feels robotic.

Long gone are the glory days, folks.

The judges haven’t really rewarded style in quite a while. But the computer judging has made it so much worse. The drivers are forced to run ugly and boring lines to make the computer happy.

Once Denofa left, that went away.

I think that’s at least a part of why he left. He would take chances and drive with some style and get nothing when it worked and heavily penalized when it didn’t.

This, I was gutted when denofa left… but I don’t blame him with how FD is ran, it’s no secret he’s butted heads with them lol

Denofa's championship winning crew chief is one of the current judges in FD, so maybe you just don't know what you're talking about 🤷

Didn’t have any issues with last year and Reese being a judge. In fact, I liked his ā€œBrake downā€ videos explaining controversial calls.

Strictly the Wallie implementation and Racer knife in the chest killed it for me. Has nothing to do with judges.

You seem to be in the know…

I never said just judging, read.

It’s been on a huge decline past 10 years at least

It’s weird. They’ll still slob Vaughn’s knob when he goes a little hard, but Chelsea didn’t get anything for it.

Chelsea got a championship for it.

Didn't he quit afterwards because he wasn't able to drive like he wanted to in order to win?

He still drove like Chelsea, like no one else can but he couldn't turn it up to 11. ;)

Fair, just a muted version. That less intense version that didn't get to drive with real style

I was in the stands for that run and it was spectacular to watch, as it was to relive that watching it again.
I’ve stopped watching FD this season with the Racer App garbage.
Totally agree with your take.

I stopped watching and following FD this year. I’ll always respect the drivers of course , this has nothing to do with the talent. Let’s just hope they don’t ruin Drift Masters now that they have their hands in that one too. Respect.

I was there!

I can't find it... but there is a video or article of JTP talking about the run... he said it definitely was not perfect and he was pretty shocked that it was judged that way.

I miss JTP and MTP. Early FD days are the best.

Remind me who MTP is again?

Can’t remember what year it was but Forrest wang vs forsberg when wang was leading slapped mad angle through a zone clipped by forsberg and got penalised for slowing down to much. The boos after where deafening and FD learned nothing

I miss that mustang. So much better looking than the RTR ones imo.

Huge fan of RTR and JTP.

I am not a fan of the new S650 Mustangs in general and their looks. The RTR liveries this season suck.

S550 > S650

Wall is one of the best FD tracks ever ran. Local track staff was great too.
