Accidentally stumbled across the show and Jim is my absolute favorite. His adoration for Wilson, weird crush on Jackie, walking his brother’s cat, the little fish, special operation near or on your bottom. So many iconic lines.

I know it's the whole family really, but who would say is the one main character if you had to pick. I would say Adam personally, I don't know why it just seems that way to me.

I've been watching "Gavin & Stacey" again for the first time in probably a decade and I keep getting caught up in how much Mick and Pam remind me of Martin and Jackie. My head-canon for Martin involves acquired brain injury (surgery or stroke or tumour or massive hit to the head, resulting in the hearing loss and the general silliness I recognize in my own self after such injury) and I keep finding myself distracted by how Martin would be another Mick were it not for said neurological insult.
