Specific Question Doubt

Hey I had a doubt , so in order to score a Q90 in quant we need to ans every quant question correct.

But with answering every quant question correct wouldn't that make algo throw an 805+ question as well. Do we have to get that 805+ question correct as well?

Lots of people advised me to skip 805+ questions , even if I practice them they eventually take a lot of time to solve.

You do not need 100% accuracy to score Q90.

Nobody outside GMAC definitively knows whether a Q90 needs a clean sheet. The only guarantee for a perfect score: answer every question in a section correctly, and you'll earn a perfect score on that section, no matter what.

If you’re crushing it, the algorithm will send you harder stuff. That said, I’m not an advocate of trying to fight every single question, so I’ll echo what you’ve been advised before to not get hung up on the 805 questions. 

What if you miss questions later because you spent too long fighting a hard question earlier in the section? Missing hard questions will hurt your score much less than missing easy ones. Above 80, the scoring algorithm really punishes you getting an easy question wrong. No use picking battles with hard questions if you lose the Q90 because you got an easy question wrong.

I still recommend guessing and moving on if you run into a hard question where the path forward isn’t immediately clear. Let the hardest questions fall where they fall.
