Is it possible to break up with Lucia entirely?
Look, before you go downvoting me to hell and back, I am just stating my personal opinion, and I think I have that much right as an individual with unique interest, values and dislikes. Just like as everyone in this sub has theirs.
So.
Look.
Lucia is a cool character and sometime she does bring out a chuckle from me with her anticlimactic dialogues. But her dynamic with Jason? The character that I would like to mainly play as? It is just not for me.
I don't know how others would feel about it, but I have major traumatic issues with being sneered at, occasionally disregarded and given attitude for no good reason by people I surround myself with.
Again, that is only me, and I don't know about others. I am not necessarily insulting Lucia as a character, I just don't find the dynamic appealing enough or healthy enough for me.

I mean they said you never even have to start a relationship between them so you’re all set. I don’t think her dialogue is anticlimactic or bad at all tho
If you have some trauma with toxic relationships then I guess I can get your perspective otherwise. The dialogue felt very real to me for a relationship.
I do think you’ll miss out on a key dynamic of the story and a lot of tension but your prerogative

Also, thanks for being understanding of my situation. It really brings a smile to my face when people are kind and understanding. Which is really what humanity should all be about: people standing for each other, supporting and loving each other.

Yeah bro it’s your choice and desire.
Personally I made a comment about wanting the option to disable nudity in the game like Cyberpunk offers. I got lit up in the replies and received 100 downvotes. I thought it was so strange, I was just asking for the option and people called me a “fucking loser” for not wanting porn in the game. Just my personal preference. I wasn’t judging anyone who likes it.

That is so messed up. 🫂 Homestly, I hate it when people push their own opinions on you in such offensive way. It is totally toxic, and unproductive. Those are the exact traits we should be struving to remove from our society if we truly want to be happy as a communtiy.

Rob Nelson has quite literally confirmed that a romantic relationship with Lucia is optional, you can choose to just have Jason and Lucia be partners in crime and that’s it.

Buddy it’s quite literally confirmed by the director of game development, it’s not that I think it’s CONFIRMED, again she’s not completely out of the picture they’re just not together romantically that’s literally the only difference

Its rockstar games and their first female lead. They're going to have them somewhat romantically related because that's the story they want to tell.

You know the way in red dead we are in a crew? But you can never leave that crew because that's how the story is written.
I know what Rob Nelson said. The relationship system is optional. The story is not optional

Buddy. are you actually slow. thats not what hes saying tgg has quite literally clarified this in livestreams and videos and what he meant, it doesnt mean that lucia is gonna not be a part of the story. It doesn’t mean that the story is not optional, it just means that they’ll be working in different capacities together, you somehow think that them being in a relationship together is exclusive to the story and that them not being together can’t be one of the alternate endings for the game, you’re acting like you worked directly with rockstar in synthesizing the game script and that the story is directly linear in this specific fashion when you in fact have no idea

Buddy it’s like this isn’t getting through to you for some reason, them not being in a relationship doesn’t mean Lucia needs to just disappear, again we don’t know what it necessarily implicates for the story but it just means that they aren’t romantically interested in each other and THATS IT, you can choose to have them be together, or choose to not have them be together, either way they’re still both in the story and still committing crimes together.

From what I've read in several previews, I think it IS possible to purposely ignore the relationship. And it will affect some of the context surrounding the story, but wont affect your ability to move the story to completion.
