No person who got a healthy IRL life cares about this stuff lmao.

2

u/BobbyWojak 1h ago

That's dumb it's just an aspect of a video game anyone can care about it. It just depends on your preference.

u/goinpro224 2h ago

I don’t think most people would care if GTA6 wasn’t clearly leaning into the “hyperrealism” aspect more than ever, it’s like they’re determined to make the game a real life simulation and yet don’t even do some aspects of it as well as some old games that weren’t trying to.

u/chrib123 1h ago

Nah GTA brings realism in iterations, and in environment but it's never 1:1 they improve a lot every time. I remember specifically them saying that "driving in GTA v was built like a racing game" and it was way better for gameplay.

I don't think anyone expects to not pull a rocket launcher out of your ass. The fridge is a silly nitpick that people are justifying as a bandwagon after the fact, nothing more. No one actually gave a fuck, they made sheep think they did.

If rockstar didn't make this GTA more realistic everyone would complain they didn't innovate. They didn't care about making a bunch of fridge animations and instead went with a simple one that allows multiple options. Its not a big deal.

13 years of development and beers have to spawn in hand 🤣🤣🤣🤣

-2

u/faintear02732 1h ago

Yeah, it’s almost like gta 6 development only seriously began the few months before release date.

It’s just the enshittification of video game production now where games are made as close to release date as possible to spend the least amount of money for profit.

u/Most-Feedback-1084 1h ago

The game costed 2 billion to make what the fuck are you talking about

-2

u/faintear02732 1h ago

Did we watch the same Reddit clip? Where did that 2 billion go to not afford basic animations? You boot licking trogdolyte

2

u/Cuban999_ 1h ago

Did we watch the same Reddit clip? There's beautiful lighting, an interactive television and home appliances, and the fridge is an actual interactive item that dynamically stores groceries you buy. That's where that 2 billion dollars went you ignorant, disengenous, "trogdolyte."

2

u/regarding_your_bat 44m ago

Not caring about fridge animations makes you a boot licker apparently. Dumbest shit I've ever read

I am gonna play and enjoy this game and if there are people crying about fridge animations while that happens, it's just going to make me enjoy it more because I'll also have people to make fun of

2

u/ventitr3 51m ago

It went to stuff that actually matters lmao. TF you trying to play, a living room and kitchen simulator?

u/faintear02732 39m ago

The most hyped video game of the last 20 years can’t have basic animations? Where that 2 billion go?

How come Cyberleek’s build which is apparently the latest seem kind of bare bones? Does this mean Rockstar only seriously begin development near the last year?

2

u/ventitr3 36m ago edited 32m ago

Oh there’s no basic animations now? Get a grip and enjoy a damn video game man.

Thinking this only began last year is also a wild out of touch take. The first trailer was released Dec 2023, but you think serious development started in 2025?

2

u/Busy-Outside-3884 1h ago

people cried in harry potter because they couldnt sit on a bench and sleep in the bed. they want to LIVE in these games.

2

u/WorldofCannons 1h ago

it's a non issue but lowk it irks me how everyone is praising the game for great attention to details while simultaneously bashing anyone complaining about lack of detail

3

u/regarding_your_bat 46m ago

I had the same realization looking at this, it's crazy

3

u/TheGloss73 1h ago

In all fairness, rockstar fans boys use to do this for every game that came out and compared them to rdr2 over the smallest details and now people are doing it back to them everyone is not happy

1

u/pvtprofanity 5m ago

What's crazy is how hard those people are defending this. It's so unbelievably inconsequential. Not worth arguments. They spent so much time bragging about how realistic the horse shit falls in RDR2 that they can't let it go.

So now there's excuses. Obviously it's because there's going to be thousands of fridges and each full of different foodstuffs. You can grab last week's leftovers and ignore the vegetables in the crisper. It'll be so realistic!

If no one defended it every one would have just called the people nitpicking a fridge interaction nitpicking losers but now it's a thing.

1

u/BlockedbyJake420 3m ago

Nobody who matters cares about any of this from either side

1

u/nuoleskelenkolikoita 1h ago

Its not really about caring as in everything has to be super realistic

But like c'mon, the bare minimum would be to make the game as detailed as RDR2

Having no pick-up animation there immediately makes it look cheap and unpolished when decade old games had those kinda animations

2

u/Cuban999_ 1h ago

The game is more detailed than rdr2 dude 😭

Just because they couldnt make the fridge have an individual item for every single thing in it where your character has a unique animation for every possible item he can grab in every possible position, does not make this entire game less detailed.

This fridge system alone gives safe houses more depth than the entire rdr2 camp lmao

1

u/nuoleskelenkolikoita 32m ago

Tell me you're a 14 year old huffing on copium without telling you're a 14 year old huffing on copium

1

u/Cuban999_ 18m ago

There's no copium aside from in your statements. You dont even care to engage with what im saying because you have to cope with the fact that you're wrong. Seriously, take in what gta6 is offering and its not hard to see that it contains miles more depth than rdr2.

1

u/nuoleskelenkolikoita 7m ago

Just say you havent played RDR2 more than 10 minutes and make it easy on all of us

Half of the latest trailer looked like it was a new Watchs Dogs game, Ubisoft quality crap with stiff animations or lack there of

Jason.. literally one of the main-ish characters, is dry as fuck. Dude has zero emotions

The characters barely look like they've been mocapped

The UI is straight ass, worse than in GTA4 while its supposed to be "similar"

The combat while looks decent, the way cars crash in a firey inferno from few shots is acradey as fuck like is this Just Cause 3 or something..

Im not coping, this is reality. You're trying to say that shit tastes amazing

1

u/elinamebro 1h ago

I think its more about how much care they put into the little details, it shows they might over look the small stuff and grabbing sometime out of a full fridge has been around in a few games since the the early 2000s.

1

u/Good-Lord17 1h ago

You want them to fill up the fridge with individual entities of every item you currently have, be able to grab each specific one with a procedural animation to each spot it could be, AND have it run at 30-60fps and a reasonable file size? Y’all would just find something else to complain about and move the goalposts again

1

u/hollowglaive 1h ago

Nah, just stop heralding this game as some technical super masterpiece with never before seen shit.

It's not.

And people are just gonna buy it so they can pump twitch and YouTuber content and live out their columbine fantasies.

1

u/elinamebro 1h ago

Also his information is wrong it doesnt have anything to do with files size.

1

u/Good-Lord17 26m ago

Yeah dude they don’t have to save the physical assets or animations for this desire to have the fridge be lifelike. My info is totally wrong

1

u/elinamebro 1h ago

For one that isnt a file issue its a cpu and ram performance thing also its a scripted it wouldn't have performance hit. So no "goalposts" moving and idk if you meant to reply to someone else?

1

u/Good-Lord17 22m ago

You’re ignorant and don’t know what you’re talking about. A script is 100% a performance hit, and storing the information and models is a memory hit. You’re right, file size doesn’t matter but people complain about it if it’s too big. Y’all are complaining about a minuscule thing. Do you want to go get shit from the fridge THAT much?

1

u/NeSToR_49 1h ago

They're trying to nitpick the details so much and this is the only thing they can find... And these same people are gonna spend 7 hours playing the game once it launches and they're gonna bee too busy dressing Lucia in bikinis to even remember this bs

1

u/jexdiel321 28m ago

Even the somersault that Jason does was scrutinized. THIS IS FUCKING WHY GAMES ARE TAKING 7 YEARS TO MAKE. Why can't a game just, you know? BE A FUCKING VIDEO GAME.

1

u/ventitr3 14m ago

Too many people have secluded themselves to their computers and consoles and don’t have other hobbies or other things important to them apparently. Maybe it’s me having like 25 years of video game experience to just appreciate where games are going instead of feeling like this sort of stuff is actually important.
