holding this S7 and feeling how light, compact, and thin it is reminded me of how ahead of time Samsung phones were back then .. that QHD screen is still absolutely peak, and having a physical home button & navigation keys all feel so nostalgic!

My S7 of 10 years is now history. It would fully charge, but die really quick. It wouldn't download most of todays apps. I went through many, many, screen protectors, the phone's screen was still mint.I miss it, it was the perfect phone for so long. Now I have a S26. A great phone that reminds me of my old S7. Hope I get 10 years from my S26!

is the sm g930f model of charging port assembly compatible with sm g930s, ive been having trouble charging my phone and i plan to change the charging port because for it to charge i would need to tilt the charger a bit or pull it outwards a little.

I've bought this phone from a recycle center a couple minutes away from my house and the motherboard was shorted so I have replaced it but atleast it turns on now, when I charge it then it never actually shows a precentage, Odin Download Mode doesn't work for my laptop to actually recognize the phone inside of Odin3 and when its just powered on, it always gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge logo and doesn't get past it. iTMagicPhoneRepairs tried to fix it but they couldn't, they troubleshooted everything they could and no signs that the phone will ever boot. I've used USB 2.0 ports on my laptop and I do have Samsung USB Drivers installed but nothing. If you know what the issue is then tell me. I've wasted good money on these components. Different cables dont work either and I also plugged in a new charging port to the phone and still doesn't feel like working. I really want this phone to work.

Ladies and gentlemen, the towel is in my hand and I'm about to throw it. I'm at a loss.

To the best of my knowledge and efforts, I have tried every known method to factory reset my partner's old S7 mobile.

She can't for the life of her remember the pin but when I press any of the proposed Android reset button combination, nothing works.

My only theory is that maybe the home button at the base of the phone doesn't work? When I force a restart and release the buttons at the "Samsung Galaxy" logo, it always continues its boot to the animated "Samsung" logo, then to the phone's lock screen.

I've held the buttons down longer and for a shorter amount of time.

I've downloaded Odin3 to reflash the appropriate firmware onto the phone but because it's locked, I can't enter Download Mode either, regardless of my attempts.

If anyone has any guidance or further assistance, that would be amazing. Otherwise, it's off back in the drawer never to the see the light of day again.

Let’s start this off by saying I don’t know what caused it. I sold it to someone perfectly working as I had starting using it again, and I know full well nothing was wrong with it. Well they handed it back to me not working at all. No light while charging via cable or wireless. When it would try to boot it would sit on the S7 screen for a bit (after holding Power Button + Volume Down) and when I tried to enter recovery, it would say “Recovery booting…” and then do the same thing, and now every time I try to turn it on it just says that. I was able to reflash Android 8.0 with Odin3 v3.13 but it still says “Recovery booting” before turning off again. I don’t know why or how this happened and all the buyer said was “I tried updating it and then it wouldn’t turn on or charge” he didn’t say what he tried to update even though it certainly wasn’t Android as it was already on the latest version

Ive got a s7 edge that died because my dad decided to leave it in a drawer for a loooooong time os there anyway to wake it up ?

I think it's much more logical for them to name it S7 Edge because of the curved screen which the S7 doesn't have. If it was S7+ then it would be just a normal screen with no curves.

What are your thoughts?

The power button on my S7 has fallen out. Has that happened to anyone else and how did you fix it?

I think, if I root it I can change model in my settings or even more. Root my Galaxy?

My Galaxy S7 has lineage os 21, but last experience seems boring. One UI ports boring too, i think MIUI port is good

I recently found an s7 in an e-waste bin at my local target and it appears to be FRP locked. I don't know anything about locked android phones and was wondering if there's any possible way to remove the lock as I was planning on using it as a camera, thanks!

so far the only apps i know about is google maps and waze. google forces a BS full screen pop up that the stock maps app is "outdated" and won't let me use it...while then updating it gives me a version of maps that is a completely unusable lagfest

and waze? tried once and their sh!t don't work either for basically the same reason

so yeah i need someone to guide me to either another app or a version of google maps/waze that will work on this (cuz i'm not gonna sit here for 4+ hours trying EVERY version of each)

I have s7 edge with Exynos Octa 8890 2.60 Ghz with 32 gb of storage. Which custom rom should I install in it taking in account of security so that I can use banking apps etc.
