Can it be fixed?

Screen has some weird dots inside, model is AGS-001, if there's a way to fix it i would like to try. I want to play with this frontlit screen, if the only way is to replace it, i would swap it for an IPS instead.

Imho, swap it for an ips.

Looks like a polarizer failure. You can replace it, just a bit tedious to do.

I have spare 001 screens if you need one, I can send for free if you are in the US. Just shoot me a DM.

You can maybe replace the polarizer on the screen or upgrade it

You can get original screens for cheap, but I’d upgrade to IPS when you’re at it.

Don't bother just buy a ips lcd is better and brighter. If it can be fixed yes the polarized film seems to be burnt this is because this gameboy is meant to be played under the sun or at night with the front ligh.
