Modding USB-C charged wireless GameCube controller with 8bitdo DIY kit

Love this kit but don’t understand, why it doesn’t include a USB-C charging method. However, it’ll only charge with 5v and doesn’t support data transfer or cc1 / cc2.

Because it’s made to be reversible.

Oh yeah, sure! that’s why I used a extremerate shell for it 😃 however, I bought another diy kit and will use a original shell for it

That looks great! The barrel jack is the one thing thats been holding me back from getting the 8bitdo kit.

Thanks! It’s pretty easy to do this. You only need these usb ports and a 9,2mm drill.

Would you be able to tell/show how you connected this to the board? Thank you

Personally I love controller docks over plugging the controller into a cable, I have the official docks for my PS3, PS4 and PS5. With a rechargable controller mod like 8bitdo's, it's really just begging for a nice dock to display and charge your controller next to your cube.
