Hi everyone!! I've been playing around with virtual instruments on gb and I was curious on what are the best selections for making ambient sounds?

Of course I can explore the different options but I get overwhelmed due to there being so many. I also want to stray away from loops so I can make some original sounds.

Hello! I use garageband to edit lectures I record using voice memos on my iphone. Sometimes I forget to pause the recording when we go on a break or the professor goes off on a not-important-tangent. Because my classmates and I all try to listen to lectures an additional time or two, it's really frustrating to have estimate how much to skip ahead to get back to the content.

All that said, I don't have much time for these. I'm making the recordings for all my classmates and it helps me to relisten to and edit the lectures but *if there was a way to speed up the lecture during this first listen that would be so helpful*. I've look at how to increase the tempo and I see the IBM increase but the voice memo sounds the same. I just want to up the tempo while i'm editing, not on the actual file (though...that might be helpful as well). Does anyone know how to listen to the recording at 1.5x time while editing? Thank you for your time!

im trying to transfer my data from another mac and realized i can no longer use sf2 files. Does anyone know why?
