Discussion How's the interest for playable Dottore?

Post image
19 Upvotes

Since he still seems to be getting new lore, merch specific to him and even VA interviews it looks like he still has the potential to become playable. With some VAs even saying that showing feedback and interest is helpful.

I can kinda see it happen in a "working together for a common goal" way. The stuff we learned in the recent patches have definitely lined up reasons that would make it possible.

Ofc most people would want Capitano playable first, but if we need a scientist with his skills to make that happen then they could both make it?

Discussion Six years later, and people are STILL falling for the narrative (minor archon quest spoilers) Spoiler

Upvotes

Once again, I see that people have been tricked into believing Childe is a good brother. Once again, I see the "oh look how at how much he loves his family. Look how nice he is to Tonia" sentiment being passed around. NO! Are you people blind? He's done it AGAIN! He's ONCE AGAIN pawned off his sibling on us while he's off doing harbinger stuff. He's again TRICKED US into playing babysitter for one of his sibling. And this time, he even FAILED to notice and notify us that she was gonna be a no show!

How does neglecting/ignoring your siblings in favor of work, and making others entertain them instead, point to him being a good brother? If anything, it shows how he consistently priorities his work over his family!

Discussion do you really want every well design character playable?

Hey, I've been seeing on this sub that every character that is well written or well designed, so many people just want them to be playable but I think we kind of kick ourselves in the leg right there. I like the unpredictability, any character can die, can have unpredictible fate but since the character will be playable we know that they will live.

I like when a character can be designed well without the need to be playable - there's the problem with scaling power and also i feel like if Hoyoverse pushes them to be playable they lose some part of their nature. Do we really need everyone playable? Shades, Hexenz., desire for good world quest npcs like moon sisters, jeht, etc.

It was "the lion concerns himself with yoimiya", pretty simple, why would such a thing get a violation? Is my account in danger now?

Discussion For people who play ZZZ won't a gamemode like "Enigma of the Labyrinth" fit into Genshin really well due to it's elemental reaction system.

For those who don't know this game mode is like Hades a roguelike....This is a really difficult game mode but without any of the shilling related shenanigans we see like in the Abyss and all.

This is a the most fun and addicting game mode Hoyo released in a while and I feel like Genshin would thrive in such a scenario.

The devs can introduce so many new reactions cough*Rimegrass*cough and other fun combat related stuff that won't affect anything else in the base game but give players a completely new way to interact with the elements.

If I am able to think about this I am sure the devs can too but is there any chance of seeing it actualize.🙏

Discussion Now, more than ever, we need to request the Artifact/Weapon Loadouts on the next survey

I know this is a TIRED discussion point, but I wanted to bring it up especially now as we sit on the cusp of 2 Nod Krai reruns & our next patch features 2 new Snezhnayan characters thanks to the official accounts' drip marketing.

The Traveler is becoming increasingly more useful! This is great! We just got their preferred weapon, which is honestly really useful and fun to use, and we can resonate with all 7 known elements - which gives the Traveler a ton of extra stats. However, I think many of us might feel "locked-into" using Cryo for our Traveler for a long while unless we get Artifact and Weapon loadouts (so nobody who builds Cryo on them would want to try to use Hydro with Flins/Ineffa once they release). As a whole, this makes it far harder for players to utilize all of the other elements the Traveler uses, because very few artifacts in the game are "universal" and apply to all reactions you'd want to use.

By Loadout, I do NOT mean an automated selection from the artifact menu, nor do I mean a recommended build made from all other players' usage stats. We need to be very clear that we're looking to ASSIGN a weapon and artifact set to a character and save those exact equipped items under a Loadout, then immediately re-equip all of them later. For the Traveler especially, I would really want 10 Loadouts; for everyone else in the game, I think we can get away with 3 to 5. We can already build a lot of teams, hold several thousands of artifacts, and carry hundreds of weapons at a time... surely it's reasonable to easily swap between specific, manually-controlled equipment with the press of one button in one menu.

The main reason I'm bringing this up personally is we have 2 Stellar reactions to play with right now - Stellar Conduct and Stellar Swirl. I would really like to experiment with both, but they use separated Artifact sets on the Traveler... so Loadouts would make using them much easier and more fun. Anyway, point's been made: I am going to answer surveys with this every time I can here onward. To anyone else who wants to do the same, let's be extra clear what we're looking for and hope they want to listen to it

Discussion Genuine question: What's up with all the Arlecchino hate on YouTube?

My husband started playing after I batted my eyes at him because I hate boss farming by myself 😂 But anyway, he's rolled Arlecchino and really enjoys her so he's been looking up team builds and tips to maximize her abilities. He told me just about every video he's pulled up has had the creator saying she's not meta, terrible, and he should play Mavuika instead. He asked me what was up with that and I said I genuinely had no clue where the hate was coming from. Did I miss something?

EDIT: I don't mean that saying Arlecchino isn't meta is hate. I was more referencing that many of the videos claimed she was so terrible she's not worth playing even though that's not true. Just sounded like people hating on Arle rather than saying her kit has been power crept.

Discussion Am I tripping or is the Pale Crown Palace map awful?

Post image
0 Upvotes

PERSONALLY, in MY OPINION, this map is the most rage-inducing thing I've personally encountered in Genshin so far. I'll take seven Natlans before this map (Edit: As in, I easily prefer Natlan since Natlan's exploration was awesome in my opinion). Being stuck in shooter mode and having to hear Lumine's overdramatic panting makes it even worse (I had to mute her). Been trying to get the LAST impossible chest for the past two hours.

And whoever says, "skill issue", I'm personally finding your mother and taking her on a romantic getaway to Cancun before marrying her and becoming your new lesbian stepdad.

Anyway. Anyone know how to get this chest? I know you gotta get to a locked door, but I don't know how to physically reach the door and open it without being teleported away.

Discussion I really hate sucrose man

She is in every team now and listens that would have been okay if she was actually interesting

But she isn't at all

Her gameplay is legitimately awful

Yes she takes 0.2 seconds of field time but I would rather use kazuha and deal with the extra field time rather than sucrose bcs his playstyle is kinda cool you jump in the air and land down and get a cook burst.

Also before sucrose fans swarm me

Yes she is f2p friendly

No I am not a misogynist

No I am not a kazuha coper

I just wish hoyo wasn't scared to power creep her in certain archetypes

Like jahoda should have been a better sucrose but for lunar reactions exclusively

You could still use sucrose but she would be the side grade instead of the new characters

It's just annoying how hoyo refuses to make good anemo characters and how they refuse to power creep sucrose

They already power crept limited 5 star supports why not a 4 star?

I'm not saying make the game less f2p friendly I'm saying give me some variety in my characters

Genuinely I hate having her in my Flins team bcs it ruins the vibe of the team

But yeah idk am I the only one who feels this way?

OC My Vesna redesign

Post image
0 Upvotes

My quick Vesna redesign for her to look more like bodyguard of the Tsaritsa while also keeping her whimsycal. I am not the most knowladgeable about historical russian uniforms, so I am so sorry if I accidentally chose a style that was never used by russia (or any slavic country, snezhnaya is inspired by slavic countries in general, not only russia) and if someone who knows anything about this finds this post please feel free to correct me. I made her dirtyblonde instead of her original haircolour mostly so that she doesn't look too much like jean and because we already have plenty blond characters, but I have nothing against her original hair colour, I think it suits her and I like it. I know that she has bare back because of her wings but It just looked so out of place to me so I just make the back of her coat so that she can unbotton it, get her wings through it and button up it again (I also know that vilas are most likely resistent to cold but I don't care about that until it's either lore relevant or it makes exploring dragonspine easier) Also, please minute of silence for my dear OC Eden, that was born before the snezhnaya trailer released, who happends to serve the Tsaritsa (under the fatui) has blonde hair, pastel blue and pink colour pallette and butterfly motives, whose coat I basically gave to this redesign (no but fr, I really should stop making OCs because looks like female Zhongli who stole mavuikas earrings, second original name was Vesna before I change it to Devana just to play the NodKrai archon quest after and found out that she has similiar personality and character conflict to Columbina, and after that I found an art on pinterest that looked almost like her. Like I cannot post them anywhere) Anyway enough of me complaining, I really hope you like this redesign. Please give me any feedback. Good luck with your pulls everyone!

(Edit: Goodluck with your pulls to everyone besides anyone named Herbert or Tomáš)

Discussion Dehya Kit Upgrade

Post image
4 Upvotes

It would be so cool if dehya got a kit upgrade that allowed her to focus on burgeon. Let her kit make burgeon dendro cores that don't explode immediately but act like regular dendro core that do burgeon damage. The kit would not need hydro on the team, just dendro and pyro to make a newish burgeon reaction. It would help her kit shine as she's a tank that can take the hits from burgeon. It could also allow the damage she takes from burgeon in her redmanes blood to boost her ult damage.

Discussion What is the best VPN for High Ping?

Aussie player here. Made my account in the American server before I knew what a server was. Tired of high ping (260++) nerfing my character DPS so i’ve decided to bite the bullet and look for a paid VPN. For other high ping players, what VPN do yall use and which one helps reduce the ping the most? I want to try to get it as low as possible, since I actually want to clear endgame content.

Discussion I loved Snezhnaya so far, and I'm not afraid to say it.

Upvotes

I keep seeing posts of people hating on Snezhnaya.

So far I was enthralled with the Archon Quests and finished it within 2 days. It took me 20 days to 100% the entire map, and all world Quests doing it at a slow but respectable pace.

I very much enjoyed everything. While yes the auto starting Quests was a little annoying. After 1 minute they could easily be ignored while I did other things. I've also been trying to do Inazuma and Sumeru exploration on the side before Snezhnaya and holy moly terrible exploration experience, I wanted to quit.

I loved the prime ice constructs, it made gathering chests and things easily and was cool seeing networks of pylons made. Aswell as the flower memorials for Signora. The guides were actually genuinely helpful in many areas.

The gunplay was a very interesting and bold decision which worked decently. I had fun stumbling into shadow realms and collecting the shadowwings. The exploration in the two main gun regions were simple yet intuitive, however I can see how the palace area was difficult because of how many height layers there are.

I hear many people complain about sheer cold aswell. And honestly. I only noticed it once. There is SO much Krystal everywhere it never became a problem.

Yes there is problems with Snezhnaya, but to me. It's perfect. For context I am AR59. Been playing since 2.1, took breaks during Natlan and half of Nodkrai. I also take my time with the game, I'm in no rush to finish because the game is still developing anyway.

That is all

I don't know if I'm tripping but they seem to keep recycling Cyno as an opening support as well

I recall this because every time he's featured it's inevitably miserable trying to clear the first couple of floors
