They gave The spirit of corruption a backstory that made it more important and for some reason fleshed out Micheal and Zala and then killed Danny. They don’t flesh him out or see why he had to die. The “protagonist” of the 90s run died anti climaticly with his sister and Johnny lost most of his family expect for his cousin.
