Thought I’d give spray painting a go seeing how low the bar was. First exhibition down at the Clyde legal wall, I call it the “ “.
First man to walk by with his pram said well done thinking I wrote that before catching on and asking why would I get rid of it, he wasn’t able to tell me what it was that made him proud about being white.
Somehow in the 5 or so minutes I spent there the author himself started shouting from the above bridge.
“WHAT YOU DAEING” he screams pointing his camera seeing fine well what I’m doing, “A FUCKING WROTE THAT YA LEFTIE PRICK”.
If yer da’s no taking the divorce well, consider checking up on him.
In all seriousness, I was just caught off guard to encounter him in the short time I was there, I’m lucky he just pointed his camera and argued whilst walking away. You see how emboldened racists are getting online or in headlines and there’s always a wee “aye but that’s no what folk in Glasgow are like”.
This is not my Glasgow but it’s Glasgow today.
EDIT: I regret that the choice of words used to describe the racist author who took time to try and stop somebody from covering up his rubbish took attention away from the concern surrounding those blatantly supporting “White pride”.
I believe the intent of this message is to alienate people of colour and to embolden those holding views which are responsible for the recent increase in violence towards minorities.
I personally find that a wee bit more offensive as a white man than the word cracker.
