Johnny Glock Comp vs Tactical Trigger

torn and just looking for anyone who has one or both and can help me make a decision

G17.5

Competition/range use only (never carried)

JG is $370 (ships pretty quickly)

Tactical Trigger is $170 (about 6 week lead time)

not worried about price difference, just trying to pick best on functionality for competition

I love my Johnny Glock triggers

JG knows Glocks probably better than anyone else does. I have the competition on my 10mm and the combat is probably the only aftermarket I'd trust on my carry

If you’re looking at the elite tier (Johnny Glock), would encourage you to check out Tactical Pontoon.

TP has some seriously crazy competition triggers. I have his EDC and it’s beyond amazing. I have a JG also for an EDC, and although it’s beyond reliable, its break is heavier than the TP (which is a downside for me).

TP has competition only triggers that’ll break in the 2-2.5 pound area

TP is awesome. One man shop through and through. It’s the Jedi master answering phone calls and polishing triggers by hand.

JG is awesome too tho. Can’t go wrong w either

+1 for TP. He’s got some good stuff going on over there.

trigger tech. I have experience with JG, tactical trigger, apex, timney, glock performance, etc... trigger tech was the one for me. Still love the JG 4311 on my 43X tho.

I have 2 tactical triggers. They're phenomenal. And I had 0 lead time. Got them within a week.

You can make minor improvements, but a Glock trigger is a Glock trigger. I'd go with the comp.

I’ve got both JG triggers (comp and combat) I love them both. My comp trigger has done just over a year in my 47 carry optics gun with zero issues and my combat has been through a few classes with zero problems. The Vex shoe is my favorite of all the shoes I’ve have tried and I got the full set up for both as well.

If it’s strictly comp/range only why not consider going with triggertech for $275?

Or

GPT + FFT or JG VEX shoe?

I know you haven’t mentioned or listed this hit I have Zev triggers in my Glocks and they’re awesome. They are adjustable and they have a nice crispy break with a nice snapping reset.

I throw you another one for the rabbit hole. Timney triggers. See my video on the subreddits.

Im going to be brutally honest, Timney is not a quality trigger on glocks; their reset is terrible and they have a bad rep with AD’s

My experience so far is far the contrary. The reset is amazing and after the wall is just 2 mm of crisp break. I seen videos of people installing the trigger on heavy modified guns and they even forget to put the C clamp on the screw and tighten the darn thing... too many variables with light firing pin with reduce weight springs and stuff like that...
