Door holder not compatible with awning

Hello, I have a Flagstaff E pro with the plastic door plunger thing. However as you can see it blocks the awning.

Need to come up with some kind of solution to hold the exterior door open while the awning is in use, any ideas?

Do they make those plastic plungers in different lengths?

I replaced the one on my Jayco with a magnetic one because I HATED that latch. One of the better things I have done!

I did not see a longer version, but you could mount it in closer to the door

They make them in different lengths as well as a 90 degree that will hold the door open straight out

Did your E-Pro come with that already on there? Its pretty rare for Rockwood/Flagstaff to make silly mis-steps like that

Yes it was already on there, identical to the one in the screenshot which I just grabbed from a Youtube video.

Any idea what they're called exactly? I'll try to get a measurement of the door in an open position with the awning out and see the closest one under that I can find.

They are called door holders. And yeah you can get different lengths.

Problem in that setup, is if you have the door holder attached with the awning open....then close the awning, you'll potentially damage the awning arm when it crunches the door. Typically when the door i erlaps the awning arm like that, they use an entry door with a friction hinge that doesn't need a door holder...you can still get it caught in the arm but only if you open it that wide intentionally.

So the position of the factory door holder is such that it can't even be used with the awning out, the door physically contacts the awning arms and can't reach it.

stupidly enough if the door is open more than a crack, the top of the door also brushes the awning roller as it extends in or out, so we're already in the habit of closing the door when we do anything with the awning at all lol.

My plan would be to just get a longer length one that holds the door at the right angle where it won't interfere with the awning arm at all. But I'm open to other options.

My door has a gas strut that holds the door open at 90 degrees, so it can't make contact with awning arm in any position. Seems to work great.
