Questions [Help] Water changes and feeding during heat treatment for ich?
Hi everyone, I’m currently treating my two goldfish for ich (white spot) by gradually raising the water temperature.
I have a couple of questions:
Can I still do water changes while the tank temperature is elevated?
My tap water is considerably cooler than the heated tank water. Would it be a good idea to buy a second aquarium heater to warm the replacement water to roughly the same temperature before adding it?
Can I feed my goldfish during heat treatment?
Should I continue feeding small amounts as usual, reduce feeding, or temporarily stop feeding during the treatment?
I’m especially concerned about keeping the temperature stable during water changes and avoiding additional stress on the fish.
The tank is currently at 25°C (77°F), and I’m gradually increasing the temperature rather than raising it all at once.
Any advice! Thanks a lot!

Tank Help My orandas head got sucked into the filter! I had no idea they were so dangerous. What are the safest filters for tanks. I almost had a heart attack… he seems okay.

Sick Fish Help Help, fungal infection?
HELP…
I’m not sure what’s wrong with my fish!!
(Srry for bad quality photos! My fish are agitated and my bad camera makes it hard to take a good photo)
I got new guppies in my fish tank as I only had one loner guppy and wanted to get her some friends!
I got like 10 new ones and some floating plants too at the same time…
I made sure to quarantine them along with the plants before adding them to my tank. The issue was I didn’t want this many guppies as this is probably overcrowding my tank!
I added them into the fish tank and everything was fine for like 2-3 days but now this is happening to my goldfishfish, and rapidly getting worse!! They’re acting strange atm they seem frustrated
Is it ick or a funngal infection or something???
I assumed it was white spot (itch/ick) so I’ve added in white spot medication but it doesn’t seem to be
working AT ALL!!!???
Please would anyone know what this is and how to get rid of possibly!
I have 2 black moors 1 Oranda and 6 corydoras
The Oranda has the spots too but he’s also getting red especially at the base of his tail fins…
The corys are all completely fine and haven’t been acting strange at all either.
I’ve moved all the guppies into a separate tank to help with possible stress related issues… all the guppies are looking happy and healthy so I’m so confused.
Id appreciate any and all help/ advice!

There are some awesome color combinations in there and there might be some fancy fin ones too!?
Hopefully soon the water will clear up as I upgraded the pumps for everything to better handle something this size.

Questions Babies
I discovered one baby, hybrid, in my pond after about 7 yrs of none. That year I put a spawning mop in hoping to get a fry, and one egg survived. I never used the mop since. It’s big now but not pretty. This year I have discovered two more hybrids in my pond and one purebred fry. I have only one female and she’s a huge Shubunkin. I have a male shubunkin and 3 large male Sarasa Comets. Will keep the purebred but how to I get rid of the hybrids? I won’t kill them and I’m concerned no one will want them. I think I need to starve them at some point so they’ll eat all the eggs. Suggestions?
