Trade-in accepted...Finally

After hearing the horror stories. I carefully packed and filmed everything before sending my 8pro to google. Today, I got the notification that it matches the estimated value. And the value will be credited in 3 to 12 days. Happy to see this, now waiting for them to credit the amount.

Let's hope the credit works. Mine didn't first time and it took months to sort out.

The vast majority of the issues were around those trading in newer devices like the Pixel 10 series or Pixel Watch 4. There were some reports of issues around other devices but that was much less of the issue.

My pixel 10 was delivered last Wednesday. It's yet to be marked as received. Anyone in the same boat?

Update: my phone was marked as received and assessed today for the full credit at 1:30 mountain time.

Mine delivered on the 24th (Monday). Just received my assessment email. They said I sent in a 9 Fold. I've never owned a Fold prior to just now getting the 11 Fold. Madness! Google contacted.

Shipped mine on the 22nd, tracking says delivered on the 26th at 10:30am. It still says "waiting to receive your old device". Hopefully we get updates soon 🤞

I'm in the exact same boat with a 9pro xl trade in. Received last Wednesday and no updates since.

I have to send my 8 pro back this week. Was there any visible issues with your phone

Fortunately, it was nearly pristine. Except the battery life. I used a case always, even after several drops, it did not have any visible damage. But the backplate did have some discoloration spots, which was visible because it is obsidian.

Can I ask when you actually sent it and it was received? Mine was received last Wednesday and still haven't got any email.

Sep 1: trade-in granted email received.

Pending: trade in amount credit.

I made a huge mistake. I sent mine loose in the trade in box. Fingers crossed the phone endured the delivery process.

you mean without the cardboard inlet? Why did you do that?

I usualy have very little experience delivering items but man, I regretted so bad that I didn't do anything. I'm just hoping the delivery guys were gentle with it.

the cardboard inlet was inside the trade-in box. What did you think it was for?

I thought it was for something else. I tried sliding it but tought it might fall when they open it. Faaaaa I'm so dumb.

I got an email a few hours ago stating I received the full $700 for my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I was getting nervous after the horror stories last week.

How long did it take after it got delivered for them to update that they got it?

My old phone was delivered on August 25th and I got the trade in credit email today. It stayed on "waiting for your old device" the whole time.

"... Finally" like you went through some sort of ordeal

Ha ha...yes it was indeed like that. Especially when I was waiting for the outcome. I admit that "finally" maybe a bit too dramatic. 😄
