Discussion First security update for Pixel 11
Who else received this security update in the UK from Google for their Pixel phones

I don't like restricting anything on this sub, but the number of posts about codes are getting ridiculous. If you want a code, or want to give one, go on r/PixelReferral

I traded my Pixel 8 Pro in for it and got an awesome deal from Google and my carrier, around $425 all up. My model is the 512GB (with 16GB of ram) in Obsidian, I'm liking the matte finish more than I thought I would. After two weeks of use it's stable, smooth and sips battery compared to my 8 Pro. The cameras a huge improvement IMHO, especially the 5X zoom, it's pics are crisp and well detailed. Video sadly isn't up to Apple's standards, but it's still better than the 8 Pros...which isn't much of a compliment. I knew it's not a gaming phone from the out, that's simply not Pixels use case. I use handheld gaming consoles anyway (ASUS ROG Ally and Steam Deck), no phone at any price can match them for gaming, period. For the meager amount I paid for it, I don't miss that aspect of it anyway. Now if I paid full retail (which no one should ever do, for any phone), then I'd say something about it not being on par with other flagships simply on principle....but again, no one ever pays full price for a Pixel phone so that's a moot point. If you like a smooth software experience with the latest and greatest from Google long before anyone else gets those updates, excellent cameras, and great battery life this is the phone for you, glad I traded up 😎

I'd like to ask Pixel 11 Pro/Pro XL users and fans which color you ordered or would order. I'm still very undecided about the color.
Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

Hello
I can't find a way to disable the weather forecast without loosing the temperature visible next to the date on the lock screen (at a glance). Is there a way to disable the forecast without loosing the current temperature or can we only decide between all or nothing? Check the picture: i want to get rid of the blue part and keep the red part. Is there really no workaround?
Thanks!!

Hi guys
Anyone noticed after updating the Google Pixel 11 to the A17 QPR2 beta 4, the Android Feedback App won't launch. I get a pop-up asking me to close or uninstall the App.

Just loaded it up, update downloaded, and no more pink screen! Horray!

In my opinion, the "medium" option in the apps layout section looks better for the home screen on the Pixel 11 Pro XL than the "small" option, which looks very cluttered.
Also enjoying the simple customization choices available for both the home and lock screens in the Pixel UI.
The Clock widget, weather widget and wallpaper are from the app called "Material You Widgets" from Play Store.

Just got the stable September update on my Pixel 11 Pro. After that and a Google Maps app update I now have the 3D Immersive View that I had on my Pixel 9 Pro.

Finally got my hands on my first android phone! After 15years of using an iPhone, I landed on the Google pixel 11 Pro (this color is 🤩)!
I'm not heavily integrated with the whole apple ecosystem so switching to android was not that difficult. I was initially eyeing the Samsung S26 ultra but Best Buy had such a good deal when the pixel was released so it was hard not to pass up the opportunity. I know that the S26 ultra was overall a better phone by performance (even chatgpt said so!) but I only needed a phone for the sake of having a phone (messaging, emails, web browsing, and a little bit of gaming).
For my use, the pixel 11 was a sweet spot. I have been reading tons of threads about the pixel 11 whether they were positive or negative. But since I'm coming from an iPhone 14 pro, and I don't upgrade every year or every other year, I appreciate every aspect and features of the phone. I've only been an android user and pixel user for the past 24hrs, all I can say is that it'sa an amazing experience to use a completely different interface. It's refreshing!
I still need to explore what unique features this pixel has over the iPhone but I bet i'd get use to it and enjoy it moving forward.
To my fellow pixel users, and to the ones that just converted to android for the first time, what features do you enjoy the most?

EDIT: Guys are missing the point. I traded in a Pixel 10 Pro XL and they're claiming I sent a Pixel 8 Pro

Hey guys,
I've been looking into android phones a lot recently as I look to move over from my S21 Ultra, which I've been using for a few good years now.
Some info - I work at a mobile accessories and mobile service center and am quite familiar with most stuff relating iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi, Honor, Motorola, and so on. But Pixels are a HUGE rarity around here. I'm talking like there's about 3 times a year a Pixel phone comes in and I am by no means familiar with them.
My friends and colleagues all use 17 Pro/PM, S25/26 Ultras and honestly - the way I use my phone doesn't necessarily require for a change (except for the fact that it's 128GB). I mainly use my phone for socializing and some work-related things around Google Drive, Gmail, Canva, some AI apps and I like to test the boundaries of my camera from time to time. I do not game on my phone. I am not an experienced photographer. I do it solely because I enjoy the 100x zoom. That's it.
I dislike all the phones mentioned above except Samsung, but I am looking to try something new. I am well aware of the fact that my best and safest bet is the S26U.
If I had to choose - I'd pick the OnePlus 15 (or 16 as it is expected to be announced soon).
I can't as they've retreated from the European market and that alone makes me not want to buy one as I'm looking for long term software support and insurance that my phone will keep on working.
I came across the new Pixel 11 Pro XL 512gigs - specifically 512 as I feel 256 will not be enough in a few years and I prefer the 16gb ram too.
I am aware that the Tensor G6 is nowhere near close in performance next to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5.
The reason it's hard for me to decide is because I don't have the luxury to trade in a phone or have my mobile carrier give me a Pixel deal.
Pixels are expensive. They are very rare and nobody stocks up on them. If you want a pixel you're paying well over MSRP - I'm talking around €1,400 ($1,620)
On the other hand I can get pretty much anything else quite cheaper. But it'll still have the same Samsung experience but with an S Pen and a Privacy screen, which I'm not that hyped about.

Google say they're working on point 1, but seriously point 2 and 3 are worse issues for me.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask my European friends who traded in with PCS Wireless how long it took for the trade-in to be finalized and confirmed? The phone I sent in for trade-in after purchasing the Pixel 11 Pro was delivered to them on Friday (you can see it in the tracking). Since it was the weekend, I was hoping I'd hear from them maybe not yesterday, but at least today. Instead, there's no news. The Google Store isn't even updated; it's stuck at the point where it says they've sent me the trade-in kit...
