A Mecool spokesperson told me they won't release devices anymore but current ones will still receive firmware updates until Google demands it.
The only device that seems to be excluded is the Mecool KT2, I've got one so now I will have to see what to do with that paperweight.
The store also lists practically all devices out of stock so this seems to be the end of the Mecool brand.

Where can we watch live channels like ESPN, Fox sports 1, Fox News, CNN, local news, etc..
I used to watch these channels on stream fire/ sports fire But now that they're down I haven't been able to find a replacement..
The only replacement so far are live sports only options like AK-47 voltra TV.. But these do not show live airing like sports center or local news?
Has anybody found anything that's working?

The price of the Google TV is going up $50. You may still be able to find one at Target etc for a lower price.

keep seeing TV announcements focus on screen size and new smart features, but the interface is usually what starts annoying me first.
Some of the Hisense TV talk ahead of IFA got me wondering: would you rather get more features at launch, or fewer features with a guarantee that the menus and streaming apps will still run smoothly five years later?
At this point I’d probably choose the boring option, faster navigation, fewer ads and longer updates.

I’ve been looking at the upcoming RayNeo Pocket TV Pro and the idea is pretty interesting for travel.
A small Google TV box with its own battery sounds useful for flights or hotels, especially if you’re using display glasses like the upcoming GT Max. Dolby Vision stood out to me.
The downside is obvious though. It’s another device, another cable, and another thing to charge.
I’m trying to figure out if having a proper Google TV setup on the go would be worth carrying the extra hardware.
Would you actually pack something like this for a trip, or just keep everything on your phone?

So every time I go to turn on my Chromecast Google TV, it starts by saying it’s 4 in the morning for a little bit and then it resets to the actual time is there any way I can fix this or is this permanent?

Hi,
have an microserver gen8 with unraid and plex free which is running.
I tested before apple TV 4k gen 3 , it's running eine but i'm not happy with eco system OF apple, so decide to test a Google TV streamer 4k.
Any advice for best practice vor performance to run a nice only lacally libray?
Jelleyfin/plex vor dimilat Setups are welcome. Most OF my Films are 1080p and some 4k and for Hardcore test 4k remux. Godzilla minus one with 68gb OF space. With my apple TV it's running fine and infuse pro, but i don't like the uncomfortable eco OF apple...
Any suggestions which is best performance with my setup?

Hi,
So this TV is not at my place, but I'm trying to help someone else remotely.
They have new Xiaomi TV A PRO 2025 32" and local DVB TV cable connected to it, and using default Xiaomi app to watch the cable TV.
However, seems like after the Android system update they got, they lost the sound on some channels from the cable TV. The sound works overall, but it looks like on some channels there's some different encoding or whatever, and suddently the TV is not recognizing it?
The "Audio" button on the affected channels shows empty list (in a contrary to the channels that has a working sound), unplugging the TV from the power for the whole night didn't fix the issue, as well as the built-it Factory Reset from the Android system menu. They've also checked the sound setting to be sure that any enhancments, DTS, surround and stuff like that are off.
These affected channels have their audio working correctly on the previous, older TV they got.
What could be the issue here, what else can I try to help the owners?

I have an android and I was able to use smartview to screen share my phone to the TV when I first bought it. However, recently the TV is not being detected by smartview despite both my phone and TV being connected to the same wifi. Has anyone else had similar issues and where you able to solve it?

I ran a speed test on my Streamer box and got roughly 200mbps but Steam Link can't pass a connection test past 5. I am streaming to my apartment from my PC at my parents' house. The only bottle neck on my end is a TP Link gigabit switch but plugging the cables directly into the wall doesn't make a difference. I have a CAT8 Ethernet cable running from the switch to my Steamer. Running Steam Link from my laptop yields a "Good" connection. I have set the video mode to fast and the bitrate cap at 75mbps.
At my house, I can get speeds up to 800-900mbps.

I had my subscription on pause for 6 months and just came back a few days ago. And my god, the YouTube TV interface is super sluggish now. Did something change in the last 6 months with the app? I have the same streaming box as I had before (Onn 4K Pro) and all the other apps are working fine.
Scrolling through the live guide is super choppy and delayed. Scrolling through anything really is like that. Video plays just fine though.
I suppose there is a chance this was how it was before, but I swear it wasn't like this.
I did try reinstalling with no success.

Hopefully someone can chime in with help as this has been driving me crazy for almost a week. I currently have a Google TV Streamer hooked up to a Samsung Frame TV and then two of the new Google Home Speakers paired to the Streamer as a stereo pair for my TV audio output. Starting almost a week ago the volume will randomly drop a couple levels whenever I am watching TV. Does not matter if it is Netflix, HBO or YouTube TV. If I have it set to level 7 it will drop to 5 on its own then I'll bump it back and it'll do it again. I've restarted everything. Power cycled everything. Disconnected the two speakers and reconnected. I changed the audit settings from automatic to Dolby Atmos. I've changed the volume control from HDMI - CEC to IR to through the actual TV Streamer. It continues no matter what I have changed. Has anyone dealt with this before or have any idea why it could be happening. Really appreciate the insight or help. Thanks.

Two different films, both with a foreign audio language in addition to English. Upon changing the audio from Russian or what ever it was, to English, the video stops playing. Audio continues in the background. Horribly annoying since I generally love this app and use it for all my plex content. Known issue, others with the same problem?

We've got a Google TV and we've been having this weird thing lately where it will say there is no Internet connection (it's connected via Ethernet though and every other device in the house is working just fine). Hulu and Apple TV apps won't work but the Netflix app is generally fine. Some days, everything is just fine - then other days everything but Netflix won't work, then other days nothing works. We've tried unistalling and re-installing the problem apps, we've restarted the modem, we've restarted the TV, we've unplugged everything and started again. Nothing seems to solve this issue. Has anyone had this issue? The TV can't be older than 2 years old.

My Netflix Google TV app updated this morning, and now pausing takes two clicks of the main button on the remote (for many years it's been one click).
I have a disability and my fine motor control struggles makes it rather difficult to click twice. I know this is an issue on this particular device because YouTube does the same. In YouTube I often end up doing something completely different to simply pausing e.g. fast forwarding, subscribing to a channel etc I guess I'll be disabling the subtitles or something on Netflix now.
Netflix, why do this?! Anyone else? I know they do A/B testing, I'm hoping this is temporary for me.

Am I the only one seeing the above on half the channels on Google Live TV? I spent yesterday enjoying the original Pink Panther movies but when I finished binging the channel guide was filled with channels that didn't show what was playing.
I watch using a Nvidia Shield Pro if that helps. My setup uses Kodi, Xumo, Plex, Pluto, Roku, and TubiTV addons.

I have a TCL SmartPro TV (model 55T7) US version. Android TV OS 14. Wireless Debugging has suddenly started disabling itself randomly a few weeks ago.
Brief history: Last year I wrote a little phone app that I use to forward important phone notifications (low/charged battery, Play store updates, etc) via adb. When I stopped getting TV notifications I initially just assumed my app broke. Until I realized wireless debugging was disabled on the TV. After reenabling, it's fine for a few days and then it toggles to disabled again, no particular schedule or cadence. I've been racking my brain trying to hunt down a reason but now I'm just sure they're pulling my hair out and need some advice. Any hints or input from anyone, or has anyone experienced anything of the sort? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I recently found out how to cast Apple Music on Android to Google TV. but the problem is that the volume jump on 10 to 11 percent is too much, that I feel like I can hear the song from my bedroom to living room. I did some research online, but couldn't fine any useful info to fine-tune the cast volume. In this video, I show the sound settings, so that everyone can point out which settings I did wrong.
yes, I'm aware there is Auto Volume Control in the settings, but it defeated the whole purpose for immersive sounding, as it will make sound so compressed and harsh, and doesn't feel the punchy sounds. I know I could've bought a soundbar, but I don't have any money to buy it within available budget.
it would be a huge help if anyone can find how to fine-tune the overall cast volume, so that it doesn't interrupt the whole sounding for movie and tv shows.

I have a Samsung frame TV which has a custom frame border so I can't use IR to control it. So I have the volume set to HDMI CEC {power also) and it's also enabled on my TV. The ONN remote will turn the TV on and off appropriately, but it will not control the volume no matter what I do. I'm using a new high-speed appropriate HDMI cable and it's connected to my Samsung frame TV on the HDMI CEC enabled port. Anyone have any ideas?
