Mom Loss Funeral
Today is my mums funeral and I don’t even know how to react or feel. I’m tearful and anxious, but I also feel completely disassociated. I love this special bean so much and I can’t believe she’s gone- it was so unexpected and she was only 52. I can’t wrap my head around not seeing her again, she was my best friend and I feel completely lost. Although I’m 30 years old, since we lost her I’ve felt like a 7 year old that is lost in a supermarket 💔 but I want to share her- Penny Cunningham, the funniest, silliest, goofball with weird little food obsessions and her intense love of her kids and pets. She always said she wanted to have 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) and a load of pets- she definitely achieved both of those things. I’ll miss you forever mum 💜 I love you to Pluto and back

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom looks like the most fun, what a beautiful time she has had. No need to worry about how you’re supposed to behave, you do exactly as you feel, no one is judging you. How you act is none of their business so long as you are not causing harm. You will find that you are going to feel every single emotion known to man in a short time frame. It maybe be confusing and conflicting at times and this is normal.
Best wishes.

Thinking about you and sending you mom love. I'm so sorry.
As a mom who lost a 24 year old son, i felt such panic. I told a friend it was like he was a little guy still and I lost him in a supermarket and I needed to find him 😭😭😭
I'm just sooo sorry 🫶🏻💔

My condolences to you and your family. I myself just lost a dad too. He’s a really great dad. It’s depressing really, I’m like working then occasionally it hits me then I started crying, then I remember him told me to be strong so I wipe off that tear and start working again. It’s a drag really. I love him a lot and it’s so painful. I wrote on my journal each time the grieve hits and it helps. Just want to share that with you. Sending hugs

I lost my mom in December. I was 33 and she was 60. Sudden unexpected death with epilepsy took her away from us after she went months doing fine, she was finally driving again which was HUGE for her because she craved independence.
It happened in December and I still feel lost. When you lose a parent when you/us are so young, we feel robbed. She ran an animal shelter (it’s in our blood, loving animals). I’m so sorry you lost your mother so soon. Sometimes I feel guilty with my grief because I got 33 years with her when others didn’t even get that. But losing a parent is HARD.
Thank you for sharing about your mother, it’s so nice to read about all the amazing women out there. I’d do the same but my mom was so private so I haven’t. Your mom sounds like an amazing one. And I’m so sorry for your loss and wish there was something I could say to make our pain less painless 🤍

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my dad in my 30s and felt so unequipped to deal with it. Like a kid really. She looks like an absolute loving mom. Sudden deaths like that really jar you

I’m so sorry. She looked like an incredible lady.
That feeling you described like a 7 year old lost in a supermarket. That’s so true.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet and loving mama Penny. I too, felt so lost when my mom passed away from Alzheimer’s at 86. I cared for her for 11yrs from beginning until the end. I can tell you with time and each passing year, the grief does get easier. If you find yourself stuck, a grief recovery workshop helped when I lost my 67 yr old dad to cancer when I was 32.
Hospices have the workshops. Hugs 🫂 🌺
