i love the new beatmaps in fp but the story mode is a fucking crime against humanity. i'm only 4 chapters in and i'm already this close to dropping it in favor of going back to wwp.

the only unlockables in the story mode seem to be stuff for the new story mode ocs, i haven't gotten anything that's like a new or past original song or a new anime/vocaloid/touhou track. considering the tiny song count i'm so annoyed and disappointed.

is there a list of everything story mode unlocks? if it's only more oc stuff i'll probably just drop the game and only come back when they release new dlc.

edit: talking about licensed or past original tracks being unlocked specifically, my main experiences with gc are wwp and arcade and i loved the library they had

I bought the Steam version after I saw an Instagram reel of someone playing this in the arcade machine. I thought it was COOL and AWESOME and I just wanted to play it so badly!

I had experiences with other rhythm games like Gitaroo Man, osu! and Elite Beat Agents. But never seen something like this!

Anyways, I'm completely in love with this game. It's so good! But it's a shame you can't mod it to add your favorite songs... Then I heard there's a mobile version!

...and then I heard there isn't anymore. My favorite song from the game right now is Smash a mirror. It's beautiful.

After a while playing I looked at the DLCs and there are songs from Undertale! I love that game as well. I don't have any money left to buy them, but I think I'm happy with what I have. My dad always says to be thankful for what you have instead of complain about what you don't.

I bought the Vocaloid Pack 5 DLC for my switch and only the songs are there… no new navigators or avatars available but in the DLC description it says they should be included!

Does anyone know what the problem is?

so uhhhh apparently ios 27 developer beta 4 fixed an issue with gc2os crashing on the loading screen and with the help of the gc2 mobile revival project it can be playable again

I used to be hooked on WWP for 2ish years (110 hours) and spent a ton on DLC packs, mostly their Vocaloid ones, and I loved it cause there was a wide variety and it really felt like devs were keeping up with the current trends (AND were informed on beloved old hits). My interest seriously only waned when I started running out of songs to full chain…

I remembered that the new game existed like a week ago and I played the whole demo today, and I’ve gotta say I’m really interested in the new mechanics, it’s something I could get used to in time. But I look up the songlist*, and like… Really? Most of the (comparatively very few) Vocaloid tracks are the same set from 5 years ago that every rhythm game, including Groove Coaster itself, has passed around ten times over by now. And I’m really surprised there are only 5 packs out thus far, though maybe that’s just because I came late to the (Wai Wai) party when many of its packs were already out..

I heard that there was originally a much larger scope for DLC packs and updates, and it really just makes me feel pity. I wish there were more opportunities to support Groove Coaster directly to do this outside of buying the DLC that is, well, not really releasing at the moment. If they sold even just little things like plushies or acrylic stands or can badges of the new characters I would get a bunch. Groove Coaster is always my favorite format to play new songs in, so I want it to thrive and be able to actually get those new songs out :’) How cool would it be if we got a full idol group or Deltarune collab pack again?

Sorry for the textwalls. TL;DR Taito let me throw more money at you!!!!! I miss the old selection of packs

My local arcade has a few rhythm games, and I decided to buy a nesica card online. The other non-nesica games can read the card just fine, but GrooveCoaster (the only game there with a nesica reader) just flashes an orange light when I try to scan it. Another guy has said that it reads his card fine, any idea on what to do? Thanks for the help!

played since the day I got the game then took a break. Saw 2 packs on sale (the touhou one and the vocaloid one so I bought those) Now I finished the vocaloid story to get the miku nav and am playing the main story. Im at Kakeru arc chap 10.

There's not another arc if I finish his right? For the love of god I just want to grind free play mode.

Just some background info:

Recently bought GC Wai Wai and have been loving it. The base songs are alright, IMO. I'm just not a big fan of vocaloid or Denpa music, unfortunately. What caught my eye was the original song packs, touhou arranges and collab dlcs. As someone who pays bills, the prices for Wai Wai dlcs are a bit expensive for me and I'd rather buy in bulk than just buy one by one over time

In high school, I was absolutely obsessed with Groove Coaster, to the point where I'd play it on my phone during my free time to practice before going to the arcade and playing it on the cab. I had the card to save my data and everything. I was heartbroken when the servers went down. I kept the game on my old phone, but I no longer have that phone 😔 Years later, I recently played the only cab available at our arcade for old time's sake and now I wanna get back into it lowkey. I played the demo for the Switch game, but it's just not the same 💔

I found this modded apk on github that unlocks all the songs and difficulties. Thing is, I don't have a great history with technology and have gotten at least 5 viruses on different devices and countless virus scares in my entire life;; So I have no idea if the apk is safe at all. I don't know if I'm allowed to link it, but it's one of the top results when you search "groove coaster apk."

Has anyone used this apk? Did it do anything funny to your phone? I wanna play it again so bad ;_; Help a guy out

I would like to do a GC fanmade chart and I'm trying to look for any software capable of replicating the GC: Future Performers engine in order make my own chart a reality, but it seems there's no software avaliable to make GC:FP fanmade charts out there.

Basically, I want to use the same chart of "Marisa Stole the Precious Thing" and replace the song with "Spy Stole the Precious Intelligence" and change some elements to match the TF2 theme for the chart.

In my book, Groove Coaster has always been in the rhythm game hall of fame when it comes to the tracklists. It and DJMax have my personal favorite soundtracks in terms of originals, listen to them daily and all the licensed music is just the cherry on top. I think my top 6 would be:

I recently moved from Maryland to Los Angeles, CA and can't find an old cabinet to play anywhere! I've checked quite a few Round 1s in the Los Angeles County area and have been met with nothing. Does anyone here know where they might be hiding? There have to be some floating around!

I love the arcade experience and don't have other methods to play besides the ones in arcades.

hey gang! This is my first time posting here but I am on a desperate search for still functioning groove coaster arcade machines near MA and CT. I know they're typically only at Round One locations and the ones in Holyoke MA and Danbury CT are gone. Does anyone know of any still functioning arcade machines in the area? Alternatively, is it possible to just straight up buy your own? I'm honestly getting desperate here.
