Next five fixtures (four away games in ten days)
Very tough imo. How many points do we get from the next five games?

4 away games in 10 days. Send the u18s to Ipswich please.

Napoli away isn't against Maradona's Napoli. Both midweek fixtures will see some rotation.

Guarantee there’s an overreaction here when we play badly in the later games, even though it’s a statistical fact that teams do worse and worse each successive away game

I feel so secure in the Rice Bruno G Zubimendi MLS rotation in midfield. What a world.

Rotation, we don't do that here.
Be ready for Bruno to be perms injured, and Zubi to be relegated to the Norgaard / Jorgihno role.

Honestly see 15 points incoming. Chelsea can't defend for toffee. Brighton will be the most difficult game though.

I think Sunderland is going to be the toughest.

Yeah not where you wanna go on a Saturday 8pm KO. Win this weekend and I’m a lot more relaxed points-wise with the SUN and BHA games

Fucking horrible they couldn’t have pushed that to a Sunday early kickoff at least.

Of our league games I think it's the easiest tbh. Tough place to go yes, but also the weakest team by a big margin.

One is a cup game but yeah, I think we have a good chance of winning the rest. Would be alright with a draw against Napoli but should probably be winning that too.

To be fair their keeper signed literally that day, so they had no time to train together whatsoever. Not saying they'll completely turn it around in a week but one game isn't very representative

Given how susceptible to injuries our squad is, we should just play the kids in EFL now

At least we’ve got good squad depth up front, oh wait.

What, you don't think Eze,Gyokeres,Madueke can beat Napoli or Ipswich?

Not Napoli nope.

Why's that? They aren't that good, and we are. We beat better with worse last season.

BHA away looks like the banana peel there. Toughest team and last away game.

We have the hardest run out of anyone but one game at a time we have to play everyone twice. Cup ties we have no control over.

Just beat Chelsea, Sunderland and Brighton and I don’t remotely care much about the other two results tbh

One of those away days is not like the others.
Imagine chilling with a pizza and glass of Piedirosso in a cultural centre by the coast.
ahh Sunderland, what a city.

All games except Chelsea should be comfortable wins. We should be able to rotate in all matches except Chelsea.
Have people forgotten how fogging good we are?

Really wanted a home game for my birthday...but alas...Naples it is for the lads.

Is there not an awful international break 3 games in this season? :O Always drives me mad

Berta's days are numbered. Ownership had to intervene for our only 2 significant signings this summer and he managed to weaken our attack after we won a title. He also pushed for Gyok in spite of Arteta's reservations, and now we're already trying to sell him.
Hopefully we survive until January without big injuries, because our sporting director seems to wanna sabotage the entire project

Okay but the question was how many points are we going to get from these fixtures not your personal thoughts on Berta.

u/DrBunsenHoneydw 44m ago
The two go hand-in-hand, we’re gonna lack depth as we try to deal with fixture congestion

Impossible to get 15 points considering Ipswich is a Carling Cup game but I respect the optimism.
