Hi guys can someone tell me what setup is good for getting subject I rlly need him for completion.... Im good at using visitors nail and beam combo.... Sometimes.... But still i can pull it off...

With the character moves, Ekku plays mostly like Prophet, Vekta plays like dreamer and vestige, and flux plays like invader but is very mobility focused.
I absolutely adore the character designs in both games and are defo my faves across the roguelike genre, Morbid Metal has more roguelite elements and is exploration focused post-round where as HOURS is more of a boss rush, the exploration in Morbid Metal is very rewarding and beautiful to look at though.
I'm super excited for the HOURS remake on steam and the sequel, Morbid Metal feels like you're playing on swarm but on weeks difficulty, the game still has 5 difficulty settings like hours if you count milliseconds so gameplay variety is there for your difficulty preference and trust me the difficulty really is there in morbid metal.

I don't want it to make it seem like I'm heavily comparing the two and saying one is better or that it's gonna be better than the remake + sequel, please have as much fun in hours or if you play Morbid Metal!
FYI: Morbid Metal is still in early access and is adding a new character and biome at some point in the future

I never knew my first post on this subreddit would be about this, but here we are.

I've been playing HOURS since before the Parting update, since Late 2021 (if my memory serves me right).

For the past years I've been progressively playing HOURS here and there, occasionally playing Weeks runs and whatnot. But this week and specifically today(no pun intended) I decided to do what I've been holding up after all these years. And safe to say, I've finally dug the coffin and have 100% on HOURS legitimately. I've gotten every Tempo, every Host, beaten the game with every Tempo and Host and have beaten the game on every difficulty without the Cheat Menu and have seen this niche little Roblox game I discovered when I was a kid turned into a genuine work of art. It's mind-boggling to me how so much can change overnight.

But this has made me curious: What else is there to do?

I'm aware I can play the modded fangames like TIMELINES, MOURS, and the new OVERTURE one that came up recently — and I am planning to, just not right now.

I'm thinking of starting speedrunning the game, I've already done a sub-3 Hellion Weeks OC+TC Teal Timer run with Dive, but I truly wanna challenge myself and push the limits I've already broken playing this game.

But right now, as I'm just processing all of this, I've decided to give a little bit back to the community I've watched grow with me all these years. So, for the beginners, casual players, and all in-between and above,

Ask me anything about the game.

At this rate, I've simply put a disgusting amount of HOURS (pun intended) into this game, and I want to see if I can help anyone.

Im a huge nerd on this game, and I know basically everything about it (excepting some lore).

Bored, and wanted to offer some help for people, or answer questions new players may have. (Ex: how to unlock drifter/manohang).

YHTD (You Have To Die) is a fun and challenging game, especially on paragon mode (NO DEATHS. I CANNOT BRO), and it has a big HOURS reference with a RM skin for beating the game. Super fun. https://www.roblox.com/games/138259854124826/YOU-HAVE-TO-DIE

I've been inspired by Sen's design of characters for a loooong time and so I created a few characters, some better and some worse. My personal favorites are Maniac, Blighted and Argo. For the record, I forgot the true names of each of them, so I won't make new ones unless I can't find them.

Maniac: Maniac is canonically insane and sees the world through eyes that don't see violence (like the pyro in tf2). He fights mainly w/ oil and a lighter (he can make pools of oil on the ground, which he can then light. The lighter is also his M1, having a 1/6 chance of inflicting low-level and short burning) He gets faster and has less cooldown as he takes more damage, but his regeneration also decreases as his health does. He has fairly low health, making RM ph1 a heck of a challenge.

Freefaller: A version of Maniac, who fights with shard of glass and has attacks very similar to Clock Strings. One of the attacks combines spin slash with Laughing Head's spin, making a longer duration, greater mobility but less damage version of spin slash. He also had dash (I forgot the official name), like CS.

Blighted: A war criminal. His original design showed him wielding a ball & chain, similar to the ones prisoners might have, and a sword stuck in his head. I prefer that design to a more recent iteration by a friend where he had more soldier-esque attacks, like guns and gasses. On b&c mode, he would be considerably slow, and his M1 would be winding up the ball & chain and then dealing out a powerful blow. B&c mode unfortunately has very few concepts beyond that as far as I can tell from my past works, but I believe you could do a sort of swinging to charge up the ball and maybe speed you up. In sword mode, he takes the sword out of his head, inflicting bleeding for the extent of usage. He gets very noticeably faster speed and his M1 is reminiscent of a combination of Equinox and Drifter, a smooth yet elegant array of sword attacks. He could do a front flip, similar to CS. He also had the ability to throw his chain at an enemy, slowing them down greatly but granting Blighted weakness.

Argo: A robot. My favorite design, they are a robot built for exploration that bonded with nature. One half is robotic and rusting away and the other is now natural, with mushrooms and moss. Their attacks are somewhat unclear in the original concepts, but in Cybarre's Hell (a text-based python game I made using Argo, Artifex (another character) and one more whom I forgot) they have a fairly good list of moves, which are complicated. I'll explain to the best of my memory: Harpoon had two modes. On the first, a lunge forward dealing massive damage. Had a higher stamina (energy spent to use abilities in CH) cost than the second, which was called Flurry. You unleashed a quick flurry of slices with your harpoon, chipping away at the defense of enemies as well as dealing moderate damage. Flare: they would regain stamina and deal some good damage but permanently lose some defense on each use. Vanguard: strengthen up, permanently increasing defense. I think the cost or lowered or increased after every use, I don't remember which.

First of starting- No, it is not AI. You can check this. So, before i explain you guys the book, i want to come out and say this: I do not want the whole identity of this book to be related to hours.

It is best as- it takes place in hours, but it has its own story too.

Our protagonist, Grainss Drifter Millenia! Now hes a pretty wonky guy, hes the CEO of The Eternal Company and all, and hes pretty silly.

He has his own company and blah blah blah, but now, theres this corporation called 'X-linked Corporation' (short for x-corp) who want to extract the original familys (the hosts that is) blood and recreate the hands of time and all.

So this is where our second protagonist comes to place,
Witless The Witness, it should be obvious that shes from the witness family. So she enrolls in Grainss's company, but due to her being a part of the orignal host's family too... its pretty obvious that she became one of the x-corp's targets.

Okay you know what? Enough yapping, just eat the book's summary!

"Witless was just another ordinary girl before she met Grainss D. Millenia.
Determined to become his friend, she joined his company only to realize that the all evil-
X-Linked Corporation,
wants her dead.

For that to happen-
They hired a special group of hunters to capture her!

But not to worry!
For Grainss has made it his task to protect her self at all costs.

Will witless make it out alive?
Or will she end up with a decapitated head before she even realizes why?"

Okay, so its been thousands of years since the game's orginal events, and each time the gameplay resets, it creates a new universe.

eventually there is an entire thread of universes, and then the main gameplay loop of the game gets fully halted after breaking the time loop all together.

So all of the hosts (including the bosses) agree on setting sail on one universe, which leads to 'The Eternal Company'.

So bassically now, every host (exlcluding dreamer, visitor, artisan, vestige and invader) have their own family tree, and at the end of the drifter's family tree, we have...
