Men was an Anatolian moon god, worshipped in many local cults across Anatolia. Pluto was another name for Hades, while Kore was his wife and queen of the Underworld.

Hi, and sorry in advance for the spelling mistakes as English is not my first language.

Some days ago my childhood cat died, and to honor her I did my first offering, I poured a cup of coffee on the ground, asking Hades to make her travel safely into the afterworld and to eventually show me that she's safe if that's what my cat wishes.

As soon as I poured that offering I noticed that someone viewed my tiktok profile, and it was a library that posted videos with their cats. Now, its strange that a profile like this would view my videos in general, but its even stranger considering my cat would always cuddle up against me when I was reading, not only that, i opened my fyp to found a video of a black cat walking saying "the first thing who's waiting for you in heaven" and a Pinterest post about how october 27th is black cat day. Ik this could be the algorithm so I was very skeptical, but the next day I was laying in bed with my dog; and she suddenly turned around like something entered the room, she then followed this entity around first by looking at the floor and then at the wall in front of me, she was not scared or anything, she seemed comfortable so I assumed it was not a ghost with evil intentions and I went to sleep.

I usually sleep with one of my arms extended and the palm facing up because in the night my cat would usually rub against it to have cuddles while I was sleeping, and as soon as I assumed that position I felt something warm on my palm and rubbing against my fingertips; also, I always get signs by music (for example while im doing tarot reading a song gets stuck in my head and its related to the reading without me knowing what even the cards are about) and when I felt that pressure on my fingers the song safe and sound popped into my head, which is weird cause I dont really listen to it.

I'm really wondering if this are signs that my cat is safe/ she is still by my side, since I considered her my familiar. Could this be signs and the offering helped?

I still live with my mom and can't have open altars for any of my deities and I have pets so I worry about leaving food or drinks out, so what other options do I have? I usually offer scented items to Dionysus but would Hades accept scented offerings too? Like a spritz of perfume or a lotion to wear in his honor? And if so what scent?

Hello guys! I've been building an altar and space for Hades for a while now, but recently, since my life has allowed me more time and such, I've wanted to start reaching out and building a stronger connection with him and truly working with him. However, I'm a little stuck on how to do this. So far, I've mostly done libations, and I'd appreciate any tips and suggestions to help me in my journey.

Tem alguns dias que me pego pensando porque não consigo me doar totalmente ao Helenismo, já cultuo os Deuses faz meses, e tenho conseguido fazer isso muito bem na minha perspectiva, mas simplesmente não consigo acreditar totalmente na religião. Vim de uma família cristã e sempre tive uma certa falta de interesse no cristianismo, e achei que tinha me encontrado no Helenismo. Me incomodo muito com a ideia de que eu ainda tenho costumes cristãos e não consigo acordar totalmente nos Deuses que eu cultuo, e sinto que isso tem me afastado deles. Alguém já passou por algo parecido??? O que posso fazer???

For context, I worshipped Hades as with a few other deities a couple of years ago but I was not medicated and in a very stressful period of my life then one day I had a mental breakdown and had to turn away. Recently I've felt called back to worshiping Dionysus as I had back then and now I'm thinking of coming back to following Hades, but I'm worried he will not welcome me back or that he'll be mad.

I have always felt draw to Lord Hades, and never was sure why. I grew up in the country on a farm where I was introduced to death at an early age. Ive always found it peaceful for some reason. Even as a kid I would collect shiny pieces of glass or pretty rocks or even scraps from the burn pile and set them aside as my treasures. I also always felt drawn to cemeterys and had great respect for the dead. In April while at the frc robotics world championship I started feeling strongly pulled towards Lord Hades (Im unsure why but I think some of it had to do with people keeps on pushing asking what religion I was or just the amount of stress i was under). I started noticing things in sets of threes as well as little things on the bus rides like cemeterys or dead animals, which I thought was a coincidence. I also started to feel less scared about the fact that it was the last of a lot of things for me. My final trip with my robotics team, the celebration for all the graduating seniors. But the ending of everything didn't feel as scary as I thought it would. Lord Hades felt like a comforting father like presence. Throughout all of highschool I was forced into a private Christian school so I never really got the chance to explore this pull towards Lord Hades untill now. However the town I live in is extremely bible belty and it's hard for me to find any other guidance or support. I made a small alter but wasn't exactly sure what to use or what to leave as an offering. I still live at home with my parents so I have to try to be discreet. Currently I've been using a silver plated tray and leaving coins that I find such as foreign coins or ones with interesting things (like the quarters with nice places on the back or are considered rare) as well as silver when I come across it. I really want to learn more and find a community to lean on. Any help and or guidance is greatly appreciated. I honestly don't know what I'm doing or if I'm even off to a good start.

Hello friends! I am just now able to get back into baking. Just in time for fall/winter season. My question to all of you is, what baked/cooked offering do you give Lord Hades? And if you worship his wife as well, what do you give Queen Persephone? Any and all answers are welcome!

its pretty on a budget on the top of my shelf its a satin black cloth umder a necklace my partner and I have that matches a dark chocoalte York a quater and some foreign currency Im not sure what crystal that is but it felt right anf a cup of ice cold water and the little skeleton guy.

Hades has always been my favorite god and I discussed it with my partner so Im giving this a shot I hope he accepts my offerings

I am someone on the go a lot!

I have an altar at home but I drive a lot for hobbies, job etc… so I’m in my car most of the time. I’ve wanted to have an offering I could do on the go since I can’t always be at my altar.

So I’ve started singing for Lord Hades as I’ve always loved singing.

I open a large playlist that I have and when the mood strikes, I ask Lord Hades to pick the next song. No matter what it is I always try to sing my best and just try to feel the magic of the music and the connection to my patron.

I’ve started making a playlist of music he has picked out for me and I’m so excited to see what music he adds!

I’m currently creating Aphres, a contemporary jewelry brand inspired by Greek mythology. Before launching, I’d like to better understand what people who genuinely enjoy Greek mythology are looking for when it comes to symbolic jewelry.

Eu sou devoto de Hades, comecei faz pouco mais de 3/4 meses e estou passando por um momento difícil da minha vida aonde estou ocupadissímo com meus trabalhos escolares e com disforia de gênero. Sempre senti uma conexão forte com Hades e no início foi incrivelmente fácil contata-lo, seguindo tudo a risca e foi um dos melhores momentos da minha vida. Mas de uns tempos para cá, quando cai em uma onda de extremo baixo astral e estresse, senti que tínhamos nos afastado e tentei contata-lo algumas vezes, sem sucesso, hoje consegui e conversei com ele através do tarot, chorei e pedi desculpas por talvez te-lo magoado e desabafei, fiz uma pergunta besta e boba, e sei disso, mas perguntei se ele me amava do jeito que eu estou no momento e recebi um curto "Não.", fiquei mal e estou péssimo. Eu fiz algo de errado??? O que eu faço para voltar a conexão e para ele me perdoar???

Hello! So, here’s the thing: the way the ancient Greeks honored Hades was by kneeling and striking the ground with their fists to catch the god's attention, followed by offerings. That is, in short, what I’ve learned. What I’d like to know is: what did people actually pray to him? I recall reading somewhere that prayers to him were whispered—almost inaudible—but what exactly were those prayers? Did people ask him for things? Or did they honor him during funeral rites simply as an inescapable force? I’m looking for a more reconstructionist perspective, if possible.

For context - years ago, I had a dream where I met Hades in a field of asphodel flowers in the Underworld, and dozens of large black bees with iridescent purple wings were flitting between the flowers. First thing I saw when I opened up socials that day was a picture of a bee tattoo. I later found out there's a real life lookalike of them, the violet carpenter bee, and I promised Him that I would have it tattooed on me one day as a devotional act.

Fast forward many years, I still hadn't done it. But I opened a book to read a few weeks ago - Terry Pratchett's Eric - and the first paragraph went into detail describing Death's black bees. I took it as a sign to get the tattoo. Yesterday, I finally did! Right under my death's head hawkmoth, and with a few sparkles ✨

So I have this friend who worships hades, I am not a devotee of him, but she says that hades can misinform you just to make you study about him, I am a devotee of Hecate and I consider myself a Hellenic, and I know that your kharis is personal, but I think she really is misinformed about this great god.

I told her that the gods don’t need our worship to exist since they are cosmic forces, but she thinks otherwise. She was also really disappointed when I told her most gods share some domains, and said that everything was a lie.

She told me she almost never does offerings, or libations, and if she does I know she probably doesn’t do it for hestia first.

I just want some advice so I can help her in her practice, she won’t develop a kharis if she continues like this, but I could be wrong.

I also told her that the gods can “evolve” to put a word with time, that they aren’t cassed in their domains and that they can get into a lot of things.

I had his dreams so many times, and for a long time my primary deity has been mother Hekate, and I feel like she guided me towards him… currently I’m at a point where my whole life is falling apart , and finally the lord of the underworld has accepted me as his follower… my question is the dreams I had of him were kinda romantic even before knowing who he was… did anyone have a similar experience? Like he came to comfort me in my dreams as the perfect partner when I went through immense mental abuse…

My partner got a call this morning that his grandmother on his mother's side had died. He left early to drive 5 hours to comfort his mom. I still had to go to work, so I unfortunately couldn't go with him.

I went out to my garden about an hour later to pray to Hades and Persephone, my main deities, and found a single brand new GIANT poppy in full bloom.The kicker? It's right over where I bury my offerings, and I didn't plant it there on purpose. My garden is essentially my outdoor altar.

It's unlike any of the other poppies in my garden that I did plant (my others are the orange California Poppy and smaller red poppies, in a separate garden). Could this large poppy have been mixed into the seeds that I did plant? Of course - but I truly can only see this as a sign that my gods are there for my family.

Sorry if this is a dumb question! I’m a baby witch who is new in practicing Hellenic paganism and has recently became a devotee of Hades. My style in clothing usually tends to include lots of pastels and light imagery such as the sun, flowers, etc. These are not symbols with intentions behind them, I just personally like the look. However, I know that these type of items don’t align with the majority of Hades’ symbols at all, and I don’t want to come across as disrespectful to him or as if I worship other non-chthonic deities. Am I overthinking about this?
