Halo campaign remaster Lt Williams
I have been watching the halo campaign evolved situation for awhile now and by watching streamers play the game and just watching the internets reaction to the game I wish to share mine with you all as someone who played every mainline halo game on Xbox 360 and xbox 1.
- When you look at halo history and lore in general you see Spartans as huge mega weapons that were made to put down human resistance groups throughout the galaxy but then the covenant came and their purpose became to fight the alien threat to mankind and their effectiveness against them was huge and made quite the impact on the war even if the Spartans were deployed to only slow an attack on a planet and let civilians evacuate or for special assets to be destroyed or taken off planet or to make a direct strike at the alien invaders of the planet or assassination on leader ship of the covenant.
Its well known and documented in lore that Spartans were lethal even without armor but had many issues within the first, second and third generations mainly being mental stability or genetic stability during their augmentation if I remember correctly, Spartan ones being the most effective out of all generations with pure augmentation and less support which came later and improved all generations combat abilities and lethality in general.
From the lore I know there were 2 Spartans with the hyper lethal tag that was noble six from reach and john 117 or the MC master chief. And from what I know all the "propaganda" williams speaks of is true that they were all lethal and dangerous and highly capable fighters and leaders on the battlefield.
This game is meant to be a remaster of halo combat evolved and when you make a remaster and you add new content you will be judged on the new content heavily of this new remaster of an old beloved game because that is what it is, old and beloved and the challenge with that is trying to get new writers to write this new dialogue and missions to match the old writers match the original content and foundation of which it was built preserving it while adding new content and they just didn't do it here with these new characters and missions.
Her attitude towards the MC is unnecessary and doesn't make sense. She acts high and mighty insulting The master Chief and spouting about how she doesn't believe the "propaganda" by the UNSC. some of her dialogue is just rude and back handed compliments,
“Not bad, Spartan. I’m almost starting to believe the propaganda.”
“Look, Marines like us used to be the heart and soul of the UNSC, until we started playing second-fiddle to soldiers that were built instead of born.”
“Thanks. Spartans aren’t the only badasses in the UNSC. So, did you take out the Prophet?”
Some of her dialogue sounds like it's from a fanfiction insert into halo from someone who doesn't understand Spartans at all or from someone who knows very little from a writer's perspective on what the general UNSC thinks of the Spartans as a whole.
What do u think about her.
