The vowels are implied?

Yes, the short vowels are usually implied, but we can write them if we want.

I've been Farsi adjacent but haven't learned it yet. Just know it when I see it. Still can't differentiate between Farsi and Arabic.

It's Persian. I would start with a textbook + Anki for vocabulary. Watching YouTube videos and shows is also great to improve your listening.

Farsi is my mother tongue so i dont have any deck for it...
