K&N filter element STILL dyed RED, after 7 months 5k miles, which includes a recent 1300 miles of hell in this heat wave riding in 104 temps. Element is still as red and even more so after oiling behind the red dye treatment.

Was convinced after all negative comments of so called "tried" efforts that it would be white SOON.

Got my 1k service done and about 600 miles later the clutch started dragging heavily. Drained the oil out of the primary and there was 1 and a half orings on the plug and the oil was extremely dark. Im guessing the missing half is inside my primary. Any ideas on how to fix? Or am I replacing my clutch on a brand new bike?

I am not ripping around. I just like to cruise. What is a good brake pad? Not looking for cheap I am looking for something with the best stopping power. I do not have ABS. 2013 Dyna FLD.

Looking to buy a complete cable kit set for my 2020 fxbb from CableKits.com. Anyone have experience with their products? Are they a good option?

Buddy's bike is having fuel issues. 2010 RoadKing special, 96ci, 6 speed. Appears to have old wiring from some kind of tuner but the tuner itself is gone. Stock other than Rhinehart pipes and intake. Randomly shuts off while riding and when you try to start it again, fuel pump won't prime. After sitting for a bit and cycling the ignition, it eventually primes, starts and runs again, sometimes for 5 minutes, sometimes for 30 seconds. Sometimes you can ride it across town with no issue. He already replaced the fuel pump and that changed nothing. He tried swapping the fuel pump relay with the light relay and that seemed to work for a bit, but didn't last. Both relays looked like they were old, so he's ordering two brand new ones to replace them. Key fob battery is fresh, battery terminals are tight. What else should we check?

About a year ago, I bought my very first motorcycle with absolutely zero riding experience. When I first got my bike, one of the things I immediately hated was how quiet the stock exhaust was. I ended up installing a custom Kruesi exhaust tip, which sounds pretty damn good, and for a while I was considering just buying another bike.

After making a bunch of calls, getting some crazy quotes, and honestly becoming suspicious that I was going to get ripped off somewhere, I decided to go in a completely different direction: combine the best of both worlds—uniqueness and badassery.

So now I’m in the process of completely customizing my Nightster S to the point where, when it’s finished, it should barely even look like a Nightster anymore.

I’ve also attached a rendering showing roughly what I’m trying to accomplish.

Once the build is finished, I’m planning on calling it the Harley-Davidson Nightfall S.

I’ve already spoken with a few custom shops, and one thing I’ve learned is that the aftermarket/custom scene for the newer Nightster platform is still extremely limited. Some of what I’m trying to do may have rarely—or possibly never—been done on this platform before, which honestly makes the project even more interesting to me.

Here’s the current plan:

• 260mm rear tire
• 150mm front tire
• Completely new exhaust system
• Tune
• New headlight setup
• Chopped rear fender
• New side-view mirrors
• Turn signals integrated into the fenders
• New/modified belt setup and whatever drivetrain clearance work is necessary

The Revolution Max engine and transmission will be staying untouched. I absolutely love this engine and transmission combination, so the goal isn’t to mess with the powertrain—it’s to completely transform the stance, appearance, sound, and overall personality of the bike.

If everything goes according to plan, the build should hopefully be finished sometime in late November or December.

I’m really curious what everyone thinks about the project, especially anyone who has experience building/customizing Nightsters or working with wide-tire conversions.

Would you build something like this, or do you think I’m completely insane? 😂

This is not an announcement for new models Just me wishing the super glide would become a standard model for 2027 and not just a SE. love the super glide set up, but I’m not a fan of the original paint so I’d love the super glide to become a permanent model in 2027 in different color options similar to the one I made here.

Looking at upgrading from a CB750 to a Harley at long last. Saw this 1997 Dyna wide glide and thought it's absolutely perfect. Sadly it's now sold so went looking for similar FXDWG's but they have a totally different rear fender? Was the seller giving the wrong model? What am I missing here?

3k miles in about a month, I absolutely love this bike.
For anyone that’s had a sporty 1200 I am curious how many miles you were able to put on them before they started to give you any major issues. I swear I want to be able to ride this bike hard for at least a few years.

That's not a typo. 172,000 miles. I believe the engine was completely rebuilt at 150k when they bored it out. Not sure what else they did to it but it runs and rides perfectly.

I'm getting the itch to ride again. I sold my Street Bob during COVID, wish I never did, but here we are. I'm looking at getting another Harley but can't decide if I wanna go the touring route or another Dyna model.

I'd use it for riding to work, riding during free time, taking my kids out (they're getting to that age where I feel comfortable with them on it with me), and can't forget about date night with the wife. So obviously, touring would be more comfortable, but they're expensive new or used in my market, but so is any Harley. A Road Glide is a dream bike and I'd more than likely keep it till it hits 100k or breaks down and it's not worth fixing.

Anyone have suggestions on what you'd do and your thought process?

These are the bikes I’m eyeing right now cause they’re what I saw as affordable in our local marketplace here in the Philippines.

I would love to have that potato - potato sound and pretty much that points to the carb one, but hearing the sound of the roadster 2017 online, I’m pretty sure I will still be happy with it’s growling sound even when I ride it.

In terms of pricing amongst the two options, the 2017 model is being sold cheaper by around 1k USD.

Will check both bikes condition with a mechanic of course but let’s assume both are in good condition, which would be the best option to buy

I woke up this past Sunday morning planning on taking the Street Bob for a ride. I’ve had it for about two months got my first thousand miles on it and I love it. Anyhow, not sure what happened but somehow by the end of the day I ended up having a Road Glide in my garage also. They seem to get along, so I’m not gonna sweat it.

Now the question - I’ve gotta swap out these stock glide pipes, and I’m set on going with Rinehart slip ons. I love the look of the Shorty 4.5 inch HP45, but I have heard they can be offensively loud on a freeway ride so I am also looking at the full length DBX 45. Is anyone running either of those and can give me some feedback or suggestions?

I read a ton of posts and forums regarding what risers to use for 2025 and newer Lowrider ST that won’t require cable/line extensions and wanted to share my new install.

First off, I’m not a bit fan of massive “billet aluminum” risers that make your bike look like a billboard for aftermarket companies. I’ve been wanting something that looks similar to stock with a mild rise and pullback.

I’m 5’9” and love the mid controls but I felt like I was leaning forward a little too much with the stock riser on my 2026 (stock riser is 4” straight).

I’ve found that BungKing makes a solid 1 piece riser option that is a 6” rise with 2” pullback and it fits perfectly with no cable/line extensions at all. The link is attached.

Install took about 30 minutes and I’m super impressed. Way more comfortable for long rides and the OEM top clamp/speedo are still at perfect viewing angle. Well done BingKing!

Install specs as follows:

35ft/lbs torque on lower riser bolts utilizing the stock bolts. (Red loctite for bolt into riser and blue loctite for nut to bolt under triple tree.

If needed, use the double-nut-back-out method to remove the threaded bolt from the stock risers.

15ft/lbs on handlebar top clamp bolts (blue loctite)

First time drawing a motorcycle, hope I did it justice. Was actually a photo of a bike from here too, don’t own a motorcycle but always had an appreciation for them.

Noticed today we have a black breakout available in Australia, but not listed as an option in the US...first time I've seen a main model line color available in another country before the states. Wonder if they'll be bringing this stateside anytime soon
