Information denuvo
i have had this for the past 3 days and i've never even opened the game before ts is so annoying i haven't even touched the compatibility so i know its not that i'm on steam deck so does denuvo have a problem with validating tokens on here if this isnt fixable imma just pirate it cause holy this is so annoying

This is a yet another reason why i never waste money into denuvo games there.
And yet people are defending this shit.
Just refund this game!

I'm on linux as well and can't say I've ever had this issue. This means that it's something that can be fixed.
You launch the game from steam?

Yea im launching it straight from steam every time and its always the error I've been trying since the 30th

Sorry for the late response, was busy.
I don't have a deck myself, so I'm not sure how easy it is or how tech-savvy you are, but the first reflex to troubleshoot games not working on linux is to start whichever launcher, in this case steam, from a terminal and look at steam's command line output in the terminal. In the terminal, just type "steam" and press enter.
When you then launch the game that fails, you got a high chance that a more specific error will be shown in the terminal, which you can look up on the internet. If the search results don't offer a direct solution, at least you'll have the error that you can copy here or wherever else you might ask for help.
My best guess is that the game (or at least the denuvo drm) requires the install of a dependency like dotnet or visual C++ runtime that doesn't happen automatically.
Brw, did you follow the link from the pop-up window? Did that give any info about what may be causing the issue?

I did typed steam in Konsole launched hogwarts and it didnt show anything new i dont know anything about the c++ stuff I wouldn't know what to do with that and the link just sends me to a place to email for support which I've already did and have been waiting for a response for about 2 days now I might just have to get a refund and find a way to 🏴☠️ it
