Question Walking back and forth?

disclaimer, i will be taking remmy to the vet soon, just posting here to see what yall think.

just for the important stuffs, he is about 4 years old, i feed him cat food and a little freeze dried millworms (ive tried other things aswell), he has a cage but i likes to free roam, he recently started looking a little thin but not dangerously so as his ball form is fine, he has constant access to food(still, vet soon), his droppings are normal color

has he grown bored with our room? i even moved stuff around yesterday, hes got huts and plenty to explore. why is this child walking back n forth at the door? he will only stop to eat and drink, if i pick him up or move him elsewhere OR ANYTHINGGG he squirms right on back

this has been going on for the past 3 days

Hey sometimes they like to zoom around. But I’d recommend against mealworms in large quantities. Try grasshoppers, crickets and larva instead. Mealworms are good as a small treat

what is the layout of the space/how big is it? sometimes my guy would just zoom back and forth and then go on the wheel a bit and then go walk around take a nap etc etc. he might also smell something from outside the door or he just like that spot LOL

also def give less mealworms. crickets r much healthier! i would pop them in the fridge overnight so they cool down and dont jump around when i would feed it to my guy.

its an addition, but its about the size of a master bedroom, the only part of the room he cant run in is the guniepig cage, and he can get under the bed aswell bc its a little over a foot off the ground. he could be smelling something outside, like i said its an added room so the door are a a half inch off the floor and thin, plenty of scents getting in probably! I will swap for crickets, thank you for the imput!
