At the time of said. Interaction. She had strength and invulnerability similar to his. So it was one of the few times our boy didn’t have to hold back

How do you stop there? It gets so much better once they start filming in Metropolis.

One of very few shows where the ending was fantastic!

u/JFKENN 12h ago
I followed Smallville religiously, but stopped watching when Michael Rosenbaum left (not much of a Superman story without Lex Luthor). What happened in the final season?
42
u/DR_Bright_963 12h ago
Well Lex comes back, its been a LONG time but honestly just go watch it yourself! Don't miss out on that experience. Its very slow I'll admit but it gets really good.

u/333liLozoya 11h ago
Yes! Cassidy Freeman kills it in the final seasons. Couldn’t have been a better replacement for Lex

Last season teases Darkseid as the villain but it goes nowhere. I think he appears as a black cloud.

Absolutely, and Brodie is talking about an idea that's closer to 60 years old; here's a link to Larry Niven's famous tongue-in-cheek essay from '69 which started it all (with illustrations from classic Superman artist Curt Swan! Which are, slightly, NSFW)
Niven also discusses a superfetus ripping its way clear of its human host mother - clearly an inspiration for the Billy Butcher backstory!

If I recall, in the movie Hancock, when he hooks up with the girl and blows holes through her roof, it was initially supposed to be through her, but I guess it didn’t test well or got cut for ratings lol

Great 90s movie, give it a watch. It's the dude from My Name is Earl, I can't remember his name, when he was young

F*ckin Odyssey. Doing everything except going home to his wife and son.

To be fair, if I was on a beach alone with Charlize Theron and enough resources to be comfortable, I'd probably stay there.

Just a reminder that the blonde chick is a crazy cultist in real life

I mean yeah, she hella in prison. Such a weird fucked story. Allison Mack is and was, apparently, crazy as fuck.

She's been out for 3 years after only serving a year and nine months.
23
u/KnockoutCarousal 13h ago
No shit? That’s wild for the crimes she committed.

u/only_norj 12h ago
Yep. Got a slap on the wrist, got out, and then married an ex white supremist.

u/DR_Bright_963 12h ago
She branded people or approved the brandings and had literal slaves, She should be under the fucking prison.

They weren't exactly unwilling though.
And if we claim brainwashing (plausible) then why can't we say she was a victim too?17

Damn, I didn't know this. I always had a small crush on Chloe, but reading this has made me hate her, while feeling stupid I ever found her hot.
16
u/We_Are_Ninja 10h ago
Yeah, man. There are multiple documentaries on the NXIVM (pronounced "Nexium") cult. She was a whooooole nut job.
11
u/Wrong-Mixture 9h ago
In you defence, she is a statistic unlikelyhood in the hot-crazy index, since she scores extremely high on both

u/jajohnja 6h ago
Hey there. I know it's tough, but you can hold multiple feelings about a person, especially if one of them is about a character they've portrayed.
No need to hate Chloe or even the acting.

I recently listened to a podcast about her after she got out of prison. She went to Berkeley intending on getting a women’s studies major. She was shocked that people in her women’s studies classes were upset to be in the same class as a woman who pimped other women. Just absolutely stunning lack of any awareness. She also clearly does not accept full responsibility at all and throughout the interviews looked for ways to shift blame while saying she accepted it. It was a pretty wild ride.
The podcast was called Allison after NXIVM.

This is so fucking funny, this is the only scene I remember from the show when I was a kid. I was flipping channels, saw it, said gross, and kept flipping lol!

u/WindAdministrative42 11h ago
How did you know what was going on as a kid?
4
u/NinjaN-SWE 9h ago
Kid could be 6, then it's weird. But also 12 and then didn't you know as a 12 year old?

doesn't superman only have power on earth? because of the yellow sun or something
15
u/hatchetharrie 13h ago
They didn’t procreate normally.
They didn’t have a sun like us so they weren’t as strong as they are on earth.

Funny enough my husband and I stayed watching this last night. I've seen the first few seasons, he's seem it all. I greatly prefer the "monster of the week" style episodes over big storyline, same with Supernatural. So at least early Smallville I like a lot.
Ignoring everything outside the show with Alison Mack being a weird cultist torturer and all that.

Girl in the video is Lana Lang, and the "Doomsday" in your image is Bruce Wayne/Devastator. Weird fanfic tho.
